I am someone that has to watch her diet. With this in mind, I enjoy eating healthy and having good food to boot. I have never been one to go to buffets regularly; but I found one I could go to almost everyday. Chinese food had become one of my favorite meals. I went to an Asian buffet that including many fine dishes from Asia. I was so amazed by how good and healthy the food was that it just blew my mind. I got vegetable fried rice, some delicious salmon and even some Japanese sushi. I cannot remember the last time I ate this well and ate so much. I got up from the table without even a hint of heartburn and thought to myself, "This is a miracle!" Has anyone else ever had a good Chinese buffet to remember?

I had a dinner at Chinese restaurant tonight. My husband and I don't usually eat out, because we are trying to save money, but tonight was an exception because we were celebrating our anniversary. The restaurant had a huge buffet with many different kinds of Chinese food. The food was very delicious and it was almost difficult to decide which dishes I was going to pick, because it would have been impossible to eat all of them
I picked different kinds of meat, rice, noodles and different kinds of vegetables. I only took a bit of each dish, because I wanted to try many different dishes. A dessert buffet was included in the price, and I had some very nice icecream for dessert.

Thanks
Yes, we had a very nice evening. When we got married the party took place in a Chinese restaurant, so we decided to have Chinese food on our anniversary, too.

A couple times a guy friend took me out and we met up with his best friend for lunch and my friend said we had to eat at a Chinese place because his friend is Jewish and that was the only place he could eat at then. So we went to this Chinese buffet nearby. That's the first place that I saw and tasted frog.
There was another place I went to before when I was still married and they had crab legs. When I was a kid I thought only rich people ate crab legs so I was a little excited and had too many.

Chinese prepare food in a healthy way as much as possible. Authentic Chinese cuisine food has lots of plain steamed rice, fresh veggies, tofu, lean meats, light soups that are healthy. Stir-frying with minimal oil, steaming & boiling are the norm, rather than deep-frying. There's no MSG, heavy gloopy gravies, super thickened soups or umpteen deep-fried battered stuff. In fact, it is often acknowledged as one of the healthiest food in the world. At any point, it is wise to avoid Chinese fast foods and from takeaway too. They are loaded with saturated fats and the meat used in the dishes are not of lean cuts. The best alternative is to prepare Chinese food on your own at home. That way, you can reduce the amount of soy sauce and salt, maintain the food quality and ensure a healthy meal for you and your family members.

I can appreciate the steaming, minimal oil use, and vegetables. You are right about the Chinese fast food it is less healthy. The meat is also an issue sometimes. Mainly I enjoy fish from Chinese restaurants as opposed to the 'chicken'. Thank you for your comment and happy dining.

I love going to buffet in our area but I am not really particular as to what type of buffet it is. While I love Chinese food, I would rather have an international buffet spread because then it feels as if I am getting a good deal for my money's worth because I can play on variety. But yer, I agree that there are some Chinese food which are healthy.

Chinese food is really tasty and delicious as well as healthy, In India we people have Indian version of Chinese food because Indians like spicy and hot things, shop keepers has made it in Indian style by adding Indian ingredients like red chilli powder, mustard seeds etc.
authentic Chinese food is very light and non-spicy and they do not use much spices and they do overcook the vegetables as well.
I often have Chinese food with my friends, I like Chinese chicken noodles, Chinese soups are also enjoyable.
i do not know weather Australia follows Chinese authenticity or not.

I am trying to lose weight at the moment, and for this reason Chinese buffets are just something that I try to avoid. This is because even though I can trust myself to eat just one plate of food, I begrudge paying such high prices for the amount that I would be eating, as I don't think it's fair that I should pay the same amount as a person who would be eating ten times the amount I am. But at the weekend, we found one that only cost £7.25 for both the meal and the drink, and I have a wonderful time, because I wasn't having to worry about the fact that it was so expensive. I am hoping that I can go there again at some point in the near future with my family, because we really did have a great time.

Oh yeah. There is one here where I live. They have amazing food & they serve just about everything from Sushi, to fried rice, salads, chicken, vegetables....The list goes on & on. I love going to this place. In fact I could easily go there every day & never eat the same meal twice.
