I would love to have a nice pork steak thickly sliced with herbs and broiled in the oven to a golden brown. I would like a baked potato with it and may some asparagus. Now doesn't that sound good? But I don't have the meat or the asparagus. Our local fruit and vegetable stand has asparagus. Wish I had some money!

hi dear celticeagle sorry you could not get what you wanted for dinner. Same here. I have a real long way to commute to work so Sunday night to the following Friday no spicy foods no garlic etc etc. Its not easy to find something nice and tasty for Sunday dinner which is more than a boring sandwich. LOL

I love bake potatoes,a pork steak would be nice with a black pepper sauce with be great, asparagus with the steak is wonderful..A pork steak and sirloin steak would be the best.
Hope you can have what you want for dinner soon and that you will enjoy dinner with what you are wishing for.

I like ribeye steak the best. I will have the pork steaks next month as that is when I will have the money.

I don't care for eating alot of red meats anymore either. And I can't remember the last time I had a ribeye. But a girl can dream. That perfect meal of yours sure sound good. We don't usually eat the chops in SUmmer but I may have to make an exception since I am so hungry for one.

Oh, I know. If you are out of money that is when you want to buy everything around. That asparagus sounds nice. I had a pork steak the other day but I cooked it on top of the stove in a grill pan.

Isn't that the truth though, my friend. Sounds so good. I like them baked in the oven and then charred just a bit under the broiler so it is well browned and the fat on the edges is crispy. Yum!

I'm not in the mood in thinking about meals now since I'm alone. Maybe next week when my daughter come home from her vacation. I'm just looking what I have on the fridge or in my cabinet, open a can of corned beef or sardines is fine with me now.

I know what you mean, it does stink when we don't have the money to buy all the food we want and not just once a month either. That is too long to wait to go shopping. I would love to be able to buy some organic food alot more than I do and health food stuff too like almond flour and milet, quinoa, stuff like that but it is so expensive. No one else here likes that sort of thing either, they are all junk food eaters. No wonder we are all sickly here. There is probably more junk food than real food in the house, and this is most of the time.

I have gone over to junk because it is easy to get and relatively inexpensive. We have some great health food stores here but boy, they are expensive. I can hardly wait to get my fresh supply of junk and semi-healthy food. We are down to peanut butter and tuna.

I wasn't thinking about food but when I read this post of yours it got me hungry and now I am craving for steak and asparagus
Steaks are a bit pricey here in our place so I usually have that for special occasions only.

Pork steaks are that much more than hamburger. I don't eat them alot but I do get hungry for them occasionally. One or twice a month is good.
