There were several people on Mylot that have recently mentiioned having on again off again headaches. I got this article in my email and thought I would share it with you all. Hope it helps and might give you some ideas on what to talk with on your next doctor visit or ways to alieviate the problem. Any thoughts? http://www.lifescript.com/health/centers/migraine/articles/why_does_your_head_ache.aspx

I have had migraines in the past but don't any more. What helped me more than anything was stress management and self hypnosis. I feel sorry for those who have such awful ones that they can't do anything at all.

Thanks for sharing this link with us. I know for most of mine, it has something to do with the Stress or Fibromyalga, and since both of these play a Big part on how I feel each day, I know for me when I can find ways to help keep these at bay I will usually feel better as well.

Think about your deodorant. We switched to organic deodorant that doesn't contain aluminum and it made a huge difference. We will never go back.

I got this stuff recently from a girl at work that has a book...kinds like Avon but pretty much lotions for most any ailment. I got Herbal 35. It is an herbal/aroma therapy oil. You take a little and put it on your temples and around the back of your neck. There have been people that suffer from migraines that have said it works wonders.

Thanks for sharing this useful info here, Celtice. I do have my share of having bad migraine on and off, which makes me unable to work outside of my home. It is good to see that nowadays i am having a little improvement after avoiding table salt and coffee. I eat less table salt and drinking less coffee since i read from somewhere that both of these two combination is not good. It can trigger migraine attack anytime if we consume them.

I can truly understand this since I felt it many years back. I done trough many research and even doctors only explain it to me well. When I'm still in the city with my ex I have it severe, I have a lot of stress and loads. Environment really affects it too, weather and hormones. I went to many doctors they just give me maintenance medicine and pain killers and it keep coming back. But when I moved here in my town four years ago suddenly it gone. Here, there's a lot of difference from where I came. I left my ex and together with the stress I also left with him. The environment here is good, no pollution and most important no stress and heavy loads. I experienced head ache now because of seasonal sinus when the weather changes I almost expected it. It is quite easy to cure than migraine.

They used to call those stress headaches 'neuralsia'. I have had them for year. Stress can mess with you in all kinds of ways. Lucky you got out.

I seldom have headaches, when I do, I use pressure points. If you push on you head with your finger enough places, you can find one or two points that work.

I actually think that the most common reason that people experience headaches is because they are stressed in their every day lives. People often don't realise just how much of a problem stress can be until they realise that they have not been able to have a clear head for weeks or months at once. Learning how to manage your stress is vital for your health, and it can also mean that you are able to stop getting a headache during the hard times that you might experience during your life. You should also try to drink more water, as dehydration is a key reason for headaches as well.

I agree. I used to get alot of stress headaches. I live with alot of stress and I get all kinds of things from rashes, headaches, stomaches, and panic attacks. Dehydration can kill a person quick. You are so right. Very good info. Thanks.

Very interesting article. It explains a lot. I've only had one migraine in my life. It felt like an ice pick in my eyeball. I had to go to the ER. My daughter gets them fairly frequently.

People with migraine can go into a dark room for awhile and I have heard that that helps. And people with heavy stress loads can get headaches too. I do at times.

I think a lot of the headaches are having to do with the quick changes in weather. Where I live it can be 60 degrees one day and the next it will be 90! That kind of change in pressure would give anyone a headache!

Hopefully that is all it is but, headaches can also be symptoms of too sodium in the diet, sleep apnea and brain tumors. So they need to be analyzed.

Sometimes I do have headaches on myLot, and that's why I try to limit my myLot time to 1 hour each day, and 2 hours on the computer total each day.

Only two hours, huh? I can understand it if you are getting headaches to reduce your time. I am on and off for 6-8 hours daily. Not just on Mylot but online.
