I went to be with my daughter when she had her third child, or rather to stay with the two big sisters while mom and dad had the third child. One of the really neat things about going to see my daughter is that Grandpa Bob lives nearby. My hubby (Finlander 60) and I had dinner with Bob and Debbie and then went to the Walker Art Center to see the outdoor sculptures. I have pictures, and I was just able to upload a picture on my desktop. I have not been able to upload to MyLot in ages. I hope to add images of Bob for those of you who remember him and of some of the fun we had.

Hello GardenGerty Grandpa Bob looks just the same as I remember him from before. As I am new to this area, I was not aware of the Walker Art Center. It sounds interesting and I will want to mention this to my wife, as she loves anything art related. Congratulations on your new grandchild.

A cherry on a spoon - Iconic outdoor sculpture/fountain in Minneapolis, Minn. It is in many pictures about the city.
I hope I am giving the right name. It is downtown Minneapolis and is very interesting to stroll around. I think the most well known piece is the spoon with a cherry on it, and the cherry spouts water. I know I had seen pictures of that.

I did get quite scarce, when my son went through his surgeries, and things around here were quite complicated. I didn't seem to have time to turn around.

A lot of people have come and gone. They also go through periods of being active and then less so. I think that happened with you as well. I know for a while I did not seem to see you very much at all. I will try more pictures and discussions when I catch up to the ones I have going now.

I think Grandpa Bob is doing fine. He certainly looks well. Filling out a little bit. He is quitting smoking as well. He still has a good sized garden, Buster still chases the critters in it. His dad has had some medical issues, and does receive Hospice services. He had such a complicated health problem recently that he went to the Hospital and then to an assisted living for a while. That gives Bob a break. He and his brother are selling the old farm place and think the state has made a good offer. We really enjoyed eating German food with him at a downtown restaurant.

I am really fortunate to have met a few MyLot friends over time. I hope I get to meet others. Yes, this makes two grand daughters and a grandson. There are pictures throughout this discussion.

Wasn't Granpa Bob on here for awhile afew years back? Seems like he was. Why isn't he anymore? I am unable to upload pictures for as long as I can remember. When I first started on here over four years ago I was able to but not anymore. So you are not a great grandma? I am too!

Nope, just a regular grandma. My oldest grand child is only six. I will try more pictures later, from my laptop. I have disabled some of my tool bars and so I could put pictures up on Sidetick last night, and I had not been able to do that in a long while. I removed my swagbucks tool bar completely, although I still search with it. Webieishere/Grandpa Bob says he just is not interested any more. Blames it on being impulsive about things. Right now he is doing the slots on Facebook a lot.

Believe it or not, I have never been to the Mall of America but I have been to two zoos in the area. Como Zoo is free and very attractive.

That is so flippin' cool!!!! Even if I have never met these people in my life, and have only seen snippets from them on line, I love seeing when other onliners hook up as offline friends. Makes the people we communicate with on line all the more real. As for the new grandkid, congratulations!!!!

A jackalope in front of a cool night sky - This was as the sun had gone down. These big light streaks just streamed clear across the sky. Grandpa Bob posted a similar shot on FaceBook.
You do a lot of neat things as well, you and Walker and your events and travels. Yes, I have met a few MyLot people and it is really fun to know I have friends all over.

That was a big help, I am sure. I took care of a neighbor's kid once when she went to the hospital to have her second baby. Her little girl was really easy to take care of. Sounds like a fun trip, and I'll bet you were glad to get home.

Yes, it really was fun. I need to do it more often. I am glad to be home, and now I am jumping with both feet back into work and other things here in Kansas.

Congrats Gerty on your new grandbaby! I was wondering if you were still talking with Grandpa Bob. Still wish he'd atleast post about his gardening adventures if anything.

That's wonderful! I am glad you had a nice trip. It is nice to spend time with people you like and hardly ever get to see. I hope you can get those pics loaded soon...I haven't tried to upload here in a while so I didn't know that was down.

I remember You have mentioned Bob and Debbie more and once. You saw each other last fall.Judging by the photograpy, the couple cut quite a figure. Grandpa Bob looks to be on the wrong side of 50.It is a real bonus that you could meet old friends while you saw your daughter and your new-borned grandson.
