I have a beautiful garden in my house. I have a large variety of plants and small trees in my garden. Roses are the special attractions to my garden. I have a different species of roses with different colours but i do not have a garden path. Garden can be made beautiful by garden path but it consumes a lot of money and i do not need such a priced path.

Roses. Vow!! They need a lot of care and you must be giving it. And as for paths they are a part of a good garden without which in my opinion a garden looks incomplete. I have paths all over.

I have not calculated the cost as I have not broken up the cost for landscaping the entire garden. Since it is my own creation I did not have to pay for any consultancy and so I don't think it cost me much.

Roses needs a lot of care and I do give them. I used to feed with all they need in proper time. I love garden paths but the problem is about the price for it's constrictions. How much money do you spent for it ?

I can just picture a graveled path under your lush tropical plantings. I would like flagstone, though, with herbs growing in the spaces between so you have a sweet smell when you walk. I would love to plant a sensory walk for people to enjoy.

That is indeed a good idea but it is a heavy maintenance concept unless you do not mind going through the trouble nothing like a path which has an aroma of its own!!

AHA...leading me down the garden path..are you? O.K., -- it is a lovely path, replete with lovely greenery and pleasantries for the senses!
I concur...a crushed gravel (which we call navi-jack)makes a spectacular walk-way, initially a lot of work, but worth it in the end!
One of the client's gardens that I maintain, has a lovely flagstone path, constructed in the same manner as the gravel...but does have miniature herbs in between, thyme and oregano, plus a beautiful odiferous moss (smells like curry) which I love! YES, you can walk me down the garden path..anytime!

Something in between those flagstones would mean replanting each year - quite a task don't you think? I have these paths all through my garden which makes walking and tending to plants easy and convenient. The gravel does not allow weeds to grow. Yes. A lot of work initially but not much maintenance.

I have them all over my front garden which has a couple of levels. You will feel so organised when you see paths around.

Paths are an essential part of a garden design apart from ofcourse they make strolling comfortable.
