Good news to share.

I think this is the first time I will make discussion under work category since this good news I will share with you guys is related what happens to me today.
It just came up to my mind to do some online search about job to apply for. As what I always told to my some discussion, here in my country age discrimination is so high in terms of looking for a job. And the only thing that came up to my mind is looking for a Call Center Agent that I know does not require any age to be in the job.
So I got two companies that are located here in my area, and I call them and ask for some requirements. And today I got interviewed and tomorrow is my first day of training in one of the company I applied. 
Yahoo I'm so excited about it. I know I will be only a trainee here and I know I'm not still sure about what will happen but still I'm happy that I will now enter a new phase in my life. Most of my work are only part time dealing with the skills I have that's why I earn to support my family. And this is my first time to have a full time job if I will be lucky to be successful here.
So friends maybe I will be away quite sometime and be back if I have extra time. I know I can't be away that much longer coz surely I will miss mylot.

How great for you!Congratulations!! A trainee can because a full-time job if you are good and they like you. If this one doesn't last for long or even if it does you might check out(research for) a company called EDS. It is a call center and they have centers around the world. Just an idea.

good for you. grats on the new job.
what sort of job will you be doing and for what company? i know its a call center company but will you be doing outgoing calls or incoming ones? will you be doing customer service or tech support? you know, that sort of thing.

Thank you very much allen, today is my first day in training and I'm glad that I'm doing good. I don't know yet where I'm going to do since it is not yet been discussed. But I'm glad the you offered some help, I'm not hesitant to ask you someday.

Good Luck with this adventure. I have been with a Call Center for a Cab company for over 6 yrs. now. There are times I really want to move on to something else, but since the benefits are pretty good, I continue to stay where I am at, and hope people are glad when they get a chance to talk with me.

That is great that you found work. I know with a tough economy it can be hard. I have not been able to find work with my college degree. I have a Masters in Early Childhood Studies and I cannot get hired because I do not have experience. How does one expect me to get experience if nobody gives me a chance. I wish you all the best.

Thanks, that's the only way I can have a good job since I don't have any experience too and call center job is one does not require because they will provide the training for the job. I hope someday you can find job also that will start for new experience.

That's really some great news for you and I'm glad that you're starting tomorrow. I remember being a call center agent. It was my first job and even though it was a little bit tough especially with the adjustments I had to make, I made it through. Unfortunately, I had to quit for personal reasons and to pursue what I really wanted. Anyways, being a call center agent in our country is always tough but I think that once you really get used to it, you will find it enjoyable. Also, I'm sure that you are going to meet a lot of cool friends as well. Good luck and hope that you won't forget your friends here at Mylot.
