With Your Online Earnings Are You Saving Up For Something In Particular?

I suppose it depends on how well you are doing doesn't it? As for me, I can't really save up for anything big as I would need a job in order to do that. However, I am now able to buy things that help the look of a room. For example, I have now accumulated enough money to buy a Swirly Faux Fur Throw in Red for the sofa. I have wanted one for absolutely ages and it will cover a dodgy bit at the corner that is a bit discoloured. No need to drape it over the full sofa, just the corner (artistically) will do lol. The price of this wonderful item? £18.99. Not a princely sum but I can't wait to go into the Range to buy it. This is where we got our wallpaper from recently and is fast becoming one of my favourite shops!

Well, it depends whether the site offers paypal cashout or just rewards. If it offers paypal, then I am likely going to use it to pay off part of my student loans, as I know that the effective interest rate I'm getting by paying off those is way better than any instant gratification I'd get. However, if the site offers, say, Amazon gift cards, I've got a video game system (PS3 or Xbox 360, not sure yet) and a few games in mind. It'll be quite slow to get these, though, given the rate of money earned online. Being summer, though, I don't have much else to do, so I might as well save up.

What kind of real job are you after? I'm unemployed at the moment but there again, I'm in my 40s so I have worked in the past. It's hard finding anything, no matter how old you are or where you live and I've found this on MyLot actually. You learn a lot about the world on here.

Well, I will most likely be looking for a job at the college that I am attending, hopefully something either in the ticket office or the financial aid office. These jobs would be ideal because I think they'd be more fun, plus they cater to my interests of sports (main hobby) and economics (main major) (hence the username). As far as after college, I will be looking for something in the sports field that involves economics or numbers of some sort. The ideal, ideal job would be something in the front office of the Golden State Warriors, a local NBA team.

Hello, Janey. A few years ago, I got myself into some serious bother with credit cards. I got to the stage where all I could do was pay off the minimum each month, so the bill was forever growing. I was in despair, but a couple of years ago, I started earning really well from my online writing,so I've been using it to reduce the credit card bills. I should nail it in two more years, whereas it looked as if it would take about twenty years to clear it at one time. I'm not proud of running up the debt in the first place, but I am pleased that I'm tackling it head on. Once that's sorted, I'll save the money for my old age and hope I get to spend it!

Hi Sandra! Yes, the thing with credit cards is they are too easy to use and a bloody nightmare to pay off. John had a similar problem and neither of us possess a credit card now. I'm so pleased you are getting your debt down, I really am. It's also satisfying finding sites that pay on a regular basis. My research into this field has definitely paid off.

I love home improvement stores. I have some crafting items I want to get with my Amazon, and I use my paypal for various shopping, etc. I need to get me some things just for me, though.

Hubby jokes that I need a periodic sawdust fix. We have stores called Home Depot, Lowe's and Menards and you can get cleaning supplies, lumber, home decor, lawn and garden,, appliances and even the kitchen sink there.

Our main one is a national chain called B&Q which is just down the road from us but is VERY expensive now. The whole idea of the place was to save money by buying practically everything under one roof but now they charge what they want. This is why I like The Range as it doesn't stock as much stuff but they nearly always have what I want, unlike B&Q. I want some more white gloss paint but I'm loathed to walk to B&Q, I might go to Wilkinsons instead, a shop that sells allsorts of things including some DIY items.

I love home improvement stores too. In fact, I prefer browsing round those (whether online or otherwise) than looking at clothes!

I rejoice that you have earned enough money online to buy the throw for the sofa.As I see it,It is not what you buy but you use your own money-online earnings for buy it that counts.Your heart may swim with joy whenever you see it.To my shame,The money I have made online goes nowhere, but I don't care a bit, because I know well Here on mylot is not where I make money.

We went out and I bought the throw today..and very nice it looks too draped over the edge of the sofa. I'm tempted to buy a smaller red cushion to match and place it at the other end with one of the bigger, mocha-coloured cushions I bought a while ago, just to balance it all out. Anyway, I shall post a discussion and photo of it in a bit. Your English is amazing now by the way. Being on here on a regular basis has definitely helped you my friend.

You finally buy it.You seem to have a natural bent for colour.Sounds as if they match well in colour. Thanks for the compliment!I have been here for near two years.Maybe I have improved in my English in a way,but I always feel that my English somehow isn't the idiomatic English.I reckon it is due to linguistic (mother tongue)interference.

I used to use it for the extras that we needed for the month. But at the end of this month I will be using it to Homeschool my daughter. My husband and I think it's the best thing for our kids so that is what I will be using it for! =)

This is an interesting idea to use the earnings for. Being a former homeschool student, I think it is a great alternative to traditional schooling, and I wish you luck with the endeavor.

Is stitching an expensive hobby? It is over here and it's hard to actually get hold of supplies, although the internet - no doubt - provides sites to buy such supplies on. Mum used to knit years ago but her eyes aren't that great now for close work. I'm full of admiration for you, my friend. What's the biggest thing you've..er..stitched?

My online income is not much, and I do not get every month. Each received, online income, I used to meet daily needs, I can not save the money I earn, because it would run out to meet daily needs.

I find that buying something you have spent a while saving for is much more satisfying than buying something as soon as you decide you want it.I myself am saving up for when i come to get my own place in a few years time either to put towards a deposit or buying furniture any money that i earn goes into a savings account and i hope to accumulate as much as possible in the next few years.I know that my online earnings won't be that much when i come to get a place of my own in a few years as i am limited in the hours i can spend doing it but every little helps.

Hello Janey, I don't earn much online as I have a nice offline job but whatever small I earn from online sites I spend it on the clothing of my kids.

Hi Janey, my plan is to accunulate all my earnings and create a savings account in the bank. I should have done that before but I got too excited about earning online that I used all my earnings to shop ~ I coildn't believe the money would be real

Unfortunately, I don't earn enough to save for huge things but my next goal is to save up for a chandelier upstairs, on the landing. I would then save up for another (smaller) one to match for the hallway. That would set off the newly decorated area very nicely. I also want to save up for a few framed prints I have my heart set on. It's so satisfying just buying one item that I couldn't afford only a couple of months ago. So things are on the up at last but I'm under no illusion that it's not like receiving a proper wage..just more fun!

MIMORulz- yup, I should have done that before when my earning was at its peak but anyway, I'm almost there on my mylot earning so I just have to work harder now and start the saving project Janey- chandelier would look good on your house, it does to everybody's house! It is definitely fun to see things that came from your own hardwork! Isn't chandelier expensive? Here in our country (Philippines), they are a bit pricey

Yes, I agree. Even making a small amount of money is an achievement.

I havent ever really put much consideration into what I am saving for. I just sat here looking around the internet for ways to make a little extra cash. I mean, who wouldnt like some extra money?? I Dont think there are very many people at all who would say no to that. BUt having now started thinking about it, i would just LOVE to be able to save up until i made around £300 and take my fiancee to london for a weekend to see phantom of the opera. WE both LOVE the show, but have only ever seen it on the tv, and I know she would simply love that!

I wish that I could be lucky enough to make an amount online that would be worth saving, I haven't been able to so far. Besides mylot, there are 4 other sites that I do use and they have all paid me, it's just not an amount where I would consider it as savings.

Yes, I am. I would like to get the $200 I would give to my 3-year-old niece as an early birthday gift (a trip to Disneyland Hong Kong) from my online earnings. It's not that difficult, it's just that for now I have more urgent stuff to buy using my online earnings. My gift of $200 she would still be able to use 2 months later. I don't have a plan to take it out of my salary at my day job.

Hi. I am not saving for anything in particular. But I always do save in my daughter's name in the bank for her future. So I have always been adding any money I make online to the savings account which, after it becomes a sizeable amount, I put in Fixed Deposits in her name. Small drops make an ocean, so I always save whatever and whenever I can. Even if it is a small amount.

I like earning online, though it is hard, and only little money, but I still feel happy for that. In my country, many people shop online, such as Taobao website, every day I go to the website and log in, I can get forty T-coins, then I can change things with T-coins, I often change so nuts or some other delicious food because my daughter likes it very much. I feel happy about that.
