Gobble gobble

So, this morning one of my brother's girl friends texted me and asked: Hows Solo?
I replied that: He's doing a bit better. Ate jar of baby food.
She asked: What flavor
I replied: Turkey
Then I got: Gobble gobble
hummmm - okay - yes, he did gobble it down - funny (I was also in the car driving when I got it so I didn't reply.
Then, about an hour later she wrote: That was ur dumb o brother who said Gobble while I was driving
I responded: Lol
She said: He thought u were callin me a turkey
I asked: Lol. Whatever for?
to which she replied: Please! "B" think? Surely u jest!
I answered: True
Okay, now we get to the "heart" of the discussion - why on EARTH would my dumb brother think I was calling her a turkey? He could read the discussion just as easily as I could!
Is it my imagination or is my brother an idiot?

I would say that your brother hasn't a clue, or.... he's trying to stir up trouble between you and his girlfriend.

Must be that you imagined your brother. I am probably past too tired to type. Maybe calling someone "turkey' is something your brother would do so he assumed you would as well.

LOL I don't know what the heck he was smoing when he thought you called him a turkey, but whatever it was, it must have been interesting! :) Where can I get some of that? hahahahahahah

Calling somebody Turkey is one of those jokey type insults that tickle the funny bone with some people..maybe he just thought he'd chipolata in on the gag..(trying to get some turkey related spin on this..it's not easy!)

That's the thing with texting..it can be hard to spot what's intended as humour sometimes,and serious subjects can get taken lightly..
