If mylot had a convention...

Would you want it to be a travelling one or would you want it to be in the same place every year? Should it be held near mylot HQ? (isn't HQ in Chicago?) I know we've had discussions like this before but I was just wondering...
I mean, if we had a covention it'd give us all a great deal to talk about on here when we got back, and if it was travelling we'd learn about other's cultures.
If I was to put up a vote I'd say the first one should be held in... Italy...
Whose with me?
We know a few Italian Mylotters either migrated or naturally born citizens of, who could help us organize that..
I'd also have a few mylotters who've not been on in awhile... They'd better show their face!

wow, italy would be wow,It is a dream place for me. I wish there was convention of mylot. we are not that many here on mylot. It would be great to gather at one place and share the beautiful moment. There could be no better place than Italy for the start. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day.

Italy is a dream place for me as well. Though there really are many mylotters we just don't all meet at the same time so sometimes the site doesn't seem as busy. To be in the same timezone as each other able to talk and interact, to meet the children whom are talked about, the parents, the pets, that would be a wonderful experience!

I did a virtual one a couple of times. Where my discussion just ask questions about what they would bring as a potluck, what they'd wear, where they'd like to meet, etc. It was pretty fun. I doubt i could actually travel anywhere very far away from my home and I know there are many others like me.

I knew someone had done the virtual ones, but I wasn't sure who. I remember participating in them though and thought they were fun. I know a lot of people would not be able to travel to the places a convention may be held in.
What would be fun though is maybe those who are the "host" country instead of having people come to their country etc, they could set up some sort of chat etc and we all meet there and the person displays photos of great places in their country and tells about them.
We could even swap recipes that way (of course not here on mylot itself).

You should set up a vitual tour on Facebook. About the only place I can think of where we could do a website like atmosphere. And have the storyline to find certain areas we visited or had tours of. I think it would be cool.

Personally it would be awesome if somehow a Convention or get together of myLot people could be planned. I know there are many here like you who have been active here for years, I would Love to meet. It would be an interesting experience and I wonder how many would try to make it if they could? Just a thought someone might actually try to plan out?

A better person than me to plan it, no doubt. I just am no good with planning. Though there are so many circumstances around the thing, so many may not be able to attend for whatever reason. It'd definitely be an interesting experience and people from the Host country could show us around, it'd be great.

Headquarters is in a suburb of Kansas City. I would be on the committee for that one. I think we need regional meet ups. I agree, Italy would be good. . . so would the Philippines, and India. Canada, and Australia. It would be the best excuse to travel.

Yup, HQ for this one is about three and one half hours from me. Just a short drive. I know that people cannot afford those big long trips, so that is why we would have to go regional.

I think I know why I got the HQ mixed up. I know that the HQ's timezone is the same as the lamb's, and on another website I'm on the HQ for it is Chicago.. lol.
There are in all honesty so many different places that we'd all like to visit. I wouldn't mind visiting any of the places you've mentioned, Especially Australia. Though honestly not all of us would be able to travel as some are either afraid of planes (me) never been on a plane (Me) or simply can't travel like that (health reasons)..
To dream though, to dream.

How I wish there is, but of course there's a lot of things to be consider especially when it comes to finances.
The Philippine Mylotter First Convention was held here in Metro Manila -it was a great success though only few managed to attend the event.
But I can say it's a wonderful experience.
Wishing for the FIRST INTERNATIONAL- That would be great...

Why Italy? You are not from Italy, is it not? Other things remaining constant such a convention shall be conducted in/near the headquarters and participants shall stay in their place and participate through internet. On that day facilities have to be arranged for opening more and more windows in all the computers so that people can answer the questions raised by many members. Travel expenditure can be avoided since many of us may not be able to bear it.

it shall be arranged at three shifts -- three teams will lead from the headquarters and so members can attended any one/two/three of such an excellent international conference. (patent right to our forum only)

I think that it would be a lot of fun if mylot did have a convention and I think that the first one should probably be in the Heartland if they were to do it. The first reason that I think that is because of the fact it would be close to mylot's headquarters. My second reason for saying this is something that is a bit more self-centered. It is because of the fact that I would be able to attend because the travel costs for me wouldn't be all that high.

this would be very nice to enjoy the convention. this would be surprise to know closely mylotters who discuss and share idea with us. I also hope there are much dishes from another country and gift to share each other so we really taste the culture from each mylotter's country
