& I'M SURE DAUGHTERS CAN TO BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY DAUGHTERS. Yesterday i was going to try & go to the grocery which is a big undertaking for me. I don't like to ask anyone to do anything & don't very much. My son ask me if i wanted him to go for me. I thought that was sooooo sweet of him.I went on & picked up my grandson [his son] at school like i do every day & when we got home, groceries were here, all put away & i was very happy. Don't y'all think i have a really nice son? Do y'all have nice sons or daughters like that?

Actually, I've got great news in that department. Both Jim and I start new jobs on Monday!! I have a second part-time position at the local library and Jim has a full-time plus benefits reporting job! Things are looking up!

That's very nice! My kids aren't so nice yet, but they're still young. My hubby is nice like that. Neither of us like doing the grocery shopping, but if I really really don't want to, he will do it for me so that I don't have to.

You certainly do have a great son! My daughter helps me out alot. I am upstairs most of the time on here or doing whatever. She does the cooking now and also cleans up after her son. He is ODD and can sure make a mess. I think she should be sainted for all she puts up with.

Wow, your son is really thoughtful and kind. I don't have a son since I'm not married yet but I totally admire those kind of kids who have this kind of trait. He is worthy to be praise. I remember my nephew is also kind to my Mom and Dad. Every weekend he tried to help my parents at the store. I was totally touch and I pray that he will always be like that even he grows old. Have a great day to you^_^

Hi sweet Jo! That was really nice of your son to go to the store for you! Most men hate to shop so for a guy to do that is really amazing! My mom calls me her guardian angel these days because I've been staying with her since she's been so sick with cancer and been given 6 - 12 months to live. I've been with her almost a month straight and about to get about 3 days of a break this weekend and I can't wait! I SO miss my husband and my fur babies but I know they're being well cared for but still! I miss my home and my 'things' but I also know this isn't for forever. *Sigh.

You have a very sweet son. May God Bless him always! There are lot of sons out there that don't care one bit about helping their parents. I have two daughters but they live in New Mexico and I'm in Puerto Rico. However, when I lived closer or they lived with me they would help in that way too! Especially if they were going out and I was watching my granddaughter I would give them a list of the things I needed with the money and they would have no problem picking the things up. I would hope I taught my kids to be helpful and kind to others especially their "mom."

hi dear Antiquelady I am so glad your son helped you out with the grocery shopping. I know how hard it is for you to do all this shopping you need and it sure tires you out a lot so thats excellent news your son stepped in and did the shopping for you. Hugs...... as you know no kids here so no such experiences.....

I have a nice one of each, son and daughter. I have heard some pretty good stories in my life about great moms as well. I am so glad you get to spend time with the grandson, and the grocery pick up and delivery was a real bonus I am sure.

Yes dear, it is so nice and sweet of him to do the grocery for you. I really love kind such kind of kind gestures. When they were small, we were doing every thing for them, now that they are big enough it is our turn to get favors from them. I know how delighted you were with that sweet gesture of your son for I am also a mother. Indeed children can be such a blessing!

When my son was married to his son's mother, he usually did the grocer shopping. Why he did it instead of her is a long unpleasant story. Needless to say, they are no longer married. He is a good son, but lives in a different city. When he still lived at home, I would not have trusted him to do the grocery shopping. Our tastes are just too different. Our daughter lives in a different state, so she could hardly bio shopping for me. It seems that you have a super nice son.

Thanks for responding & the kind words about my son.I had a list for him & he didn't get exactly what i would have on some of the things but i didn't say a word, lol. I was so thankful he did it for me because in all honesty i did not feel like going. If he hadn't volunteered to do it i would not have ask him but was sure glad he volunteered, .I bet your son would do as well as mine.

Oh AntiqueLady that was so very sweet of your son. I am glad he did that for you. The bonus was he even put them away.... Great! Your son is very nice! I have 3 older boys and they all live away from home now. One is in Texas and the other two are just one county away. The oldest one lives the closest and he does sweet things for me sometimes. If he comes to visit I have no problem getting him to do stuff for me.

Your son is the best! How thoughtful he is. And I'm sure he did it with a smile on his face, thinking about what a nice surprise it would be for you. But that's a reflection of the way he was brought up, too, you know. It says a lot about the kind of wonderful mother he must have to have raised such a thoughtful, caring son. I bet that made your day, didn't it? Would've made mine. I'm glad to hear you have someone like that in your life that will always care for you and love you. And yes, I DO think you have a really nice son!

What do parents do best for their children not only in physically father or financially but in also emotionally supporting of what will they do. As a parent have a big responsible and I believe you just do what does a good parent needs to do also mentoring them in these real and big world to come for them.
