Friends request made by us - reminder

Umabharti: thanks for the quick response. If there is a system by which we are given information or notice that ----requests are pending then probably some of us will take note and act upon. your idea of 2 weeks time is also ok. nice. I think it is good to have more friends so that we get more people to respond for our discussions. Why you are not active nowadays in mylot? is it due to your employment?

yeas that is due to employment , as you know that i joined in an Bpo six months back, that is IBM Daksh, its a domestic call center . Now i am at home , i asked for transport or cab till my home , so that is under process, they have still not come at a decision whether they have to give me a transport or not, as it takes one hour from my workplace to my home, and the work timings are form 9 to 6 , so after seven they have to give a home drop , so they are thinking over it. Already a person or a female employ is there near by to my home however she joined four years back, i joined just six months ago, so they are saying that they would not give me. They are talking on this issue,that is the reason why i am at home doing mylot and not going to my office from ten days starting from fifteenth of august.

Umabharti: Ahaha: probably it takes a longer time to travel by public transport and you have asked transport. How is the service condition? good. If the salary is good I would recommend your going for regular job because it keeps you busy and engaged and feel important. Which companies were you handling? Airtel,Aircel?

deazil Try to send friends request to many people from your country and other countries -- make requests to people who visit mylot frequently or every day. Also accept friends request from others. You can start discussions based on what you read in newspaper, what you hear from your friends in office or at home, what you see in television, movies, dreams etc. Always frame discussions using --what, when how, why, which, where--relating to certain points. you will get a lot of discussions . for example parents should be supported by children after they start earning -- it should not be poll like discussions. we cannot start a discussion -- you like this browser or that browser -- but discussion can go around plus point of a browser and advantages etc. hope you understand. in case you need clarification please ask. We have a lot of friends here who can throw more light to guide you. good day.

madam: I normally reply for most of my discussions. your way of judging people is fine. but you must be having a set of close friends who can respond for your discussions, rate your responses so that your mylot rating can improve. good day.

I have never started any discussions and cannot think of anything interesting enough to discuss. I am not speaking of senior members. They generally respond and are very knowledgeable and helpful in the workings of mylot. I respond where I think I may be helpful or to share an opinion or be sympathetic. I rate responses in other discussions as well. I appreciate your advice.

Hatley aunty: yes. it will be good there is a provision for 'alert like' info to be sent to members where they have request pending for more than prescribed time limit. I know it will not be accepted immediately but at least some thinking will start on these lines for making changes in software. I know it is a big task requiring policy approval and redraft of software etc

hatley aunty: Was there any such provision earlier - say at the time of your joining mylot say 5 years ago ? Probably it has been amended subsequently for some reason?

Hi Ravisivan, Thanks for the response, today also I have received one friendship request immediately I have accepted after seeing the friend tab in main menu of mylot. Regarding not working of speakers to my system, some body said that there is no sound drivers in my system I have to input software. Where can i get that software? have a nice day.

yugasini that is a good approach. deciding quickly. we are old men so no problem. but young men and women they may have preferences and not be able to decide quickly. good day.

One of my preferences is complete details on their profile. And I saw your profile complete with details sir. Although sometimes there is no assurance that the person entered true details- but still it counts for me. Also the activity is one of the things that I've checked before accepting friend's request. I don't want to keep lists of in-active ones. I find it difficult to remember who are they when they come back after a year- hehe Well, I want to keep lists of friends in the real essence of the word (as long as possible)

jaiho: Besides being active person in office, home and mylot --you try to help mylottians by guiding--also giving + to many and improving their star--another thing -- you also are more keen on changing avatar frequently. great. that shows your passion towards what you are doing. jaiho: yes you have been a mylot member for nearly 4 years and for that you have a limited number of friends. the number you have is less than the number of friends i have though I joined only 18 months back or so. good to have ideas about deciding. i remember you accepted my request early and you guided me for loading profile photo.

hi fantabulus, its indeed a good idea, i have seen some people don't accept the friends request, soon, this may be due to lack of time, or as someone mentioned here, they don't accept random requests, we cant blame , everyone has their views, for me, when i make a friends request , i see if people accept it in few days or else i delete it myself, as i think that, they are not interested or not comfortable in making friends with me, and when any one makes a request accept it, as i didn't think there is any harm in this,but if there is any from now on i have to be cautious..hehe

prashu: ensure that such people have logged in for many occasions and still not accepted. then you can delete. otherwise you are not giving chance for them to accept.

Gardengerty: This sort of spam i have not experienced so far. Probably in India based mylot members spamming is not there.you have done a right thing by deleting. People can mark deny also if they do not want. probably some are hesitating to say No.

yes. before accepting a request made long time back we can check up whether they are visiting mylot regularly and then decide. otherwise reject it--it may not affect them because they do not visit mylot frequently. right,

hi Ravisivan, thanks for the response,if we are not in mylot site,we does not know there is a friendship request,so when when we log in mylot then only we will see the request some time we may not logged in mylot for day together due to some urgent work on that time the request still pending for days together,have a nice day.

yugasini: probably new members are not aware of this system -- that number will appear in bracket and then they have to approve new friends. I decide immediately and today I accepted a friends request --after 7 minutes of his request. I was not online and hence this 7 minutes gap.

jugsjugs, I also have many inactive friends. I used to have a lot more, but then I started to check into them more carefully. Some were spammers, while others actually took the time to post. I'm slowly making new friends, but I'm quite particular about whom I'll be friends with.

jugsjugs: I think in USA, UK -- you get a lot of spams. It is not so among members in India. we may get one or two requests and that too if we want we can oblige. Interesting. We have not met though I am active for the last nearly 15 months. probably you travel through posts inside UK
