What do you do if you get bored?

With all the days work, you find that everything is already monotonous. You are following the same routine almost everyday and you think it is already the end of the line. You are already experiencing boredom. If I am already in this situation, I would go to a quite place and just sit there and stare point blank. How I wish I could sit on top of a mountain and try to view the horizon. How about you? How do you curtail boredom?

Monotonous routines could be pretty tough. I normally settle my day in a pub, after having a cold shower. That works for me.

when i get bored, i surf the net to look for recipes to cook or bake to surprise my family. as a working mom before, there was no time for boredom but a lot of stress. now that i am a full-time mom, i enjoy mylotting and taking care of my family.

Hi there! On workdays, normally I went to a courtyard (my office has a courtyard) for a while. It helps me a lot when I experience boredom. On weekends, I normally just go out hanging out with family or friends. However, as you said, yes, I wish I also could be sitting on top of a mountain and view the horizon. That sounds great! View all natural beauties indeed really help a lot to curtail boredom :)

I guess this depends on where I am experiencing boredom. If I am at work, I will probably snack. At home, there are many things I can do to cure boredom. I can websurf, read one of my many books, try learning a new skill, etc. Sometimes if I am in a good area to walk, I may do that. Boredom can be quite unsettling. Preparing for its possibility is a must. If you know you are going to be somewhere where there is no way to be amused, you need to provide it with media, mindset, or sensory management.

Well, I can entertain myself in many ways. I find something to do like do a hobby of mine, for example, sketching some stuff depending on what mood I have. I could also watch movies I haven't seen, listen to music, or play with my ipod. If I'm just at home and it's really getting so boring, I go out and hang out with my friends. At least that I am not alone and I have someone to talk to.

I just lie on the bed and wait for sleep to come because I lack sleep lately so when boredom strikes I'm on the bed waiting for sleep to come around.

I would very rarely get bored. Because i am enjoying my work. And if at all i get bored, i would get away completely from my work. Whatever work i might have. How much ever important it might be. I am more important to myself. So what i would do? I would take out time for myself. I would go around in my bike for a long freaking fast drive along a lonely road. Go to the best partying out place with my friends and enjoy my heart out. Wipe away all my stress. And finally i would spend a relaxed day in my house waking up late for a lazy day, eating hot steaming yummy food, settling in the couch to browse all the channels, open up my laptop and surf my heart content flip through my mails and chat unconditionally . This is how i would get rid of my boredom. Happy mylotting.

I try not to get bored too often, there is is usally something I can find to lose the boredom. If i do get bored, reading a good book usually takes that feeling away.

Civilised society in our world always facing this problem. Bordom starts when civilisation comes. Villegers and remote area of forest people dont get bored. modern people have set their work in a system and this system is a creation of bordom. If we go for work as it is without any additional mental load, let the things happned in their ways then only bordom decreases. But the best antidot of bordom is humor. So we made jokes to laugh. only human beings can laugh not anilmals that is gift from God.

In my case it is the other way round, I feel that I get more hours in my day, I am busy with something or the other and so absolutely no time to get bored.I will be happy to get a few days for myself when I would do nothing but ,just relax ,eat ,sleep and read all day...all the best and enjoy your evening

If I get bored, or if I feel my work is getting on me sometimes (no, make it a lot of times), I take a break and go on vacation. Oh, not a real vacation. Just a one or two day break where I can stay home and just rest. I always feel better when I go back. I may be a beach bum in my previous life :). I tend to not want to be stressing on anything, which is a perfect irony because my work is really stressful.

Hi nita, When I am getting bore I usually browse internet for new software released and will try those and know the functionality of them and online games in zapak and if I get bored on these then I will take a short walk on the road and sit on the bench in bus stop in my locality there are many trees around the bus stop, so I will enjoy the nature there and opposite to bus stop there is a college so it will be more time pass by seeing girls because I am just 24 years old LOL

Sometimes I get bored if I have to repeat the same activities day after day. I felt that way this summer because I worked every day and when I returned to my home I only did two things - I spent some time in front of the computer and I slept. In order to get of the rid of the boredom I decided to add some activities and get out of the house at least a couple of times a week. I visited a couple of fairs and a medieval festival and I also went on a daytrip to a German island. It was great to get out of the house and see something different and it made it easier for me to get through the summer and all of the work.

Yes I also get same question many times when I get bored. What to do? I am fed up of the daily routine of life. Sometimes feel like let us take a stop and go somewhere in a very dense forest where we will not see even a single human being. But then family comes in front. I generally play with my kid and pets when feel bored. I also have one more option of going for a long walk, one feels very better when gone for a long walk. I feel refreshing after returning from the walk.
