I go to a chiropractor and she mentioned something about getting orthotics, she said that my insurance would pay for all but $70 of them if I wanted to get them. I kind of thought it would be strange getting them from a chiropractor since it is a foot issue. I do get sore feet really easy when walking around and I have always wondered why, I am a tiny bit overweight but not that much, about average for a woman my age, so I don't think it is my weight. so I went to one of those Dr. Scholl's testing things at my local drug store. So I did the test and it turns out arches are flat causing me to put extra weight on my ankles and the forward part of my feet. So I bought the recommended inserts. I went to a mall today where I would be doing a lot of walking around and I wore the inserts for the first time. I honestly have to say they worked, my feet are not sore at all. I actually even had a bit of a bounce in my step. Have you ever tried inserts of any kind? Did they help you?

I wear all kinds of inserts and orthotics. I know many chiropractors that sell them. Mine would make me some for around 200, his cost. It involves taking a mold or casting of your feet. I have a pair I got from a "goodfeet" store that cost about $250. I take those with me any time I buy new shoes to make sure they fit. I also got some Dr. Scholl's of various types. Even did a bzzreport on the massaging gel. You will find that a really good insole or orthotic will make a world of difference in your feet, knees, and back.

no I haven't tried any but I was thinking about them, a friend of mine said that they recommend insoles for diabetics as well and I am diabetic.
