IF THIS IS YELLING and this is talking, ever woNDeR wHat THis sOUnDs LikE? (When people do every other letter in capital letters I mean) It is just something I saw and it grabbed my own attention to. Do you like when people write in all caps or smaller letters, or perhaps the latter where they do both, LOL. Is that hard to read for you? I think I've done it a few times in my younger years on the Net, not now. Too old for that kind of thing.

when i see the alternating caps, i just skip them. it makes me feel like someone is bobbing their head while they're talking to me. or we're in a roller coaster or a tiny boat tossed by waves. nope, it does not catch my attention at all.

You are really reaching here aren't you? lol- I like the caps and lower case mixed myself. I used to use some caps when I was first on the net too. We all learn from experience. I hope your night is going well for you.

LOL, reaching just for opinions is all. :-) Nothing offends me and I hope I haven't offended anyone else. All caps I see on the descriptions on eBay pages and wonder why that's allowed when in some chat rooms they will ban you for it, but oh well. I guess it's different depending where you type.
Yes, experience is what gives us that learning curve most of the time. My night was OK, thanks. I hope yours was as well.

I will emphasize a word by capitolizing it but not sentence after sentence. And, like you said, some chat rooms will ban you. Experience is time. My night was alright. I have this stupid cold so am battling that. Grrr!

When I was new to the internet I often visited a social networking site for young people and a lot of people on that site wrote sentences that consisted of a mix of capital letters and small letters
They also misspelled words on purpose probably because they thought that it looked cool
I don't find it cool, I just find it annoying to read sentences that are written that way and if I see an post on a discussion site that is written that way I often skip it because I find it too annoying to read it and it makes me much longer to read sentences that are written that way.

I hate that. Gives you a headache. There was one time a lotter replied to a discussion using that kind of typing. And then I posted a reply to his/her reply. I got a notification from mylot saying my reply was deleted because the post I was replying to was not deleted. Seems like admin had a headache with it, too. The message was that it was not understandable, with all those misplaced caps.
I hope yours won't be deleted because it's just a few words anyway.

should read, "because the post I was replying to was deleted."

Ha, that could have been the case. The post confused the admin so much they didn't know what to delete or not. It is quite a headachey kind of type to read, imagine if we all had a lot of choices of type to use and half the members chose a font that was unreadable, oy. That wouldn't go over that well either.

Before I got mad or even make a reply on a all caps, I may clarify if the those statements are really for yelling or not. It really pays to clarify for it will good for all parties. That is to achieve effective and efficient communication. I just received yesterday a note from a friend, I found out that she sends the letter without looking on the screen, that's why. Thanks

Yes, that every other letter in capital letters makes me think that the person who is writing that way an't make up their mind!?
I use capital letters and exclamation points to get my point across!

I try to avoid using anything irritating,if possible also. I might just use them if the other person asks me to in a chat cause they can't see my type. I did that once long ago, he could never read the words in chat so I had to use a large font as well.

Some people never took typing in school and I guess they're experience with it is like one finger at a time. My dad is that way. That is why I have to do his eBay auctions for him, cause he would take a week to put up three or so auctions whereas it only takes me an hour or so.

Hi,
Typing all caps, is yelling that means to attract attention. If you mix them up, I can only imagine yelling and talking softly all within a span of a syllable. Which reminds me of someone who found a lost chicken of his neighbor and with the intention of keeping it himself kept on announcing in a manner thus: "WHO IS THE OWNER OF THIS LOST chicken?" over and over. Having appeased his conscience that no one came forward to claim it after all the trouble to "find" the owner, he cooked the chicken for himself.
