And it said no personal pictures. I wonder what that eans. All the pictures are take have a personal nature. Yet many times I use them to show what I`m writing about. I talk of my garden and take a picture of my plants. And I can`t be more grateful to Granpa Bob for his pictures as they werea push towards my vegetable plot. Where would you set the line between what is personal and what isn`t? How do you see this? Share!

That is strange. I'm sure it is ok to show pictures of people. I guess it depends on what you consider to be personal pictures. I think if someone is doing something of a personal nature (showering, dressing, etc.) that would not be acceptable. If it is something that you would not do in public, you probably don't want to post a picture like that. That is just be my guess.

Hi Deb! I would not even take such pictures even for me to see them. But I suppose all that is very personal so the site has to set some rules. Still, I`m not sure about their meaning of the word "personal".

I think when they say personal it would mean our photo and not that of a garden or plants. Because it will be difficult for anyone to identify a garden photo as belonging to the user. That is how I look at it. So many here post pictures of their pets, flowers, plats, garden, their art work etc as part of their discussions and I think such uploads are permitted, in my opinion. It would do well for myLot to clarify this point further.

I think it would be good if mylot explained it further. I don`t mind placing a picture with people to show a beach, a barbecue, a landscape.

I'm disinclined to include pictures of myself or family, especially younger members of the family - but I see many people putting up pix of their children or grand children. Probably I'm just paranoid...

I hope that you have no reasons for feeling this. But if you sense that, follow your instincts, by all means.

I have been here for 6 years and with as high as your number is I assume you have been here a long time as well. I have always taken pictures and attached them to my posts and I've never had any removed. The guidelines can be confusing sometimes so its hard to know if we are doing right or not.

I have places my pictures here and have the same experience. But I think that maybe rules about this should be explained in more dertail for newbies. I think that what they mean is that we cannot post intimate pictures and I wholly agree with that.

People put on all kinds of pictures all the time. Maybe they are talking about x-rated one, lol.

I have the same idea, Jo. Of course, the only X rated pictures I`ve ever taken have been of my grandchildren when they were just born. I have several pictures of my Vicente as I was with my daughter when she gave birth and my best friend, a nurse, was there with a camera while her husband, the obstetrician, attended her.

It is part of particitating. If I were you, I`d read the rules again. We understand rules in a different way after posting for some time.

I think the wording needs to be clarified. Our photos are our personal possession. Photos that are of a personal nature should not be posted for others to view and should go on a little more to detail what is not appropriate.

I feel that the idea is more about not to post pictures that are not appropiate instead of using the words "personal".

You can upload your personal pictures or personal nature picture also in discussion but if pictures are related to discussion. Like I post the picture of husband and wife because discussion started on both.

Reading guidelines at any site are a good idea. Have a great weekend there.
