Going to the dogs

I have been away recently. I had been having issues with my laptop and so when I returned to discover no emails from you know who, I made a discussion to get some info.
I had also responded to a couple of discussions one of which I was later notified (by email) that this benign discussion, along with my response had been deleted. WTF??!!
This morning, I went looking for my discussion (which had 15 responses) and could not find it. I had to go through "my activity" in my profile to find out I had gone against the guidelines and the discussion was deleted. Sorry to those that gave me the info I was looking for.
Just to rub salt into the wounds, I have responded today to a similar discussion to mine...it has NOT been deleted.
What's the criteria here? What or who decides which similar or even almost identical discussions violate the guidelines and which don't?
I just cannot figure it out.

Hello MsTickle
Welcome back and I hope you had a great time. I want to know if you did or didn't?
As for what gets deleted and what doesn't - I have never understood it either. I see many a repeat discussion and more and more discussions about the guidelines which I expect to see get deleted, but they don't. It may be that the ones that reported get deleted and those that don't are left around to annoy those that got theirs deleted. It must be hard to come up with new ones. Me myself leave it to others to do that for me as I am a better responder than I am a starter.

I DID have a good time. Some was great, some was not. Had a serious lack of sleep. Ate lots of amazing food and walked lots - thank goodness because that took care of the amazing weight gain....lol. Got myself a tattoo too.
There's lots I don't get here even though I have read the guidelines till I can recite them in my sleep but I still don't understand stuff. It's a bit of a b@st@rd when you ask a question and you get that deleted.

Oh, how silly is that. My guess is that people use the "!" button and they delete that without paying too much attention. I firmly believe the rating buttons...+ - & ! are way too open to abuse. Such an easy way for one member to get at another member they dislike.1 person likes this

well, i have no idea ,who does it all, i thoroughly search for the topic before starting any discussion, i think that's the best option,in our hands.
waiting to see other myloters responses. As i am not very clear about the same.

I see what you mean... I don't know if they would keep the first one up about the topic then just delete subsequent similar discussions. But then again, I thought yours was one of the earliest discussions questioning about notifications emails; yet it was deleted and I wonder if the one that is still up was posted after yours but just happen to escape admin's deletion.

Personally I have always wondered this one as well, and wondered if maybe someone is just not aware yet of the other discussion out there. I see discussions I know are against TOS remain sometimes forever, and others disappear immediately. I know they are only a small few, but really what makes one different than the other, unless they are going by how active we are here?

GOSH! DANG! Somedays I walk the high roads...the other I fall into the trenches! More so, here, than in my other walks of life! I guess, dearheart, the trenches are toooooooo BIG for me here! I, (without your experience)(heck I am less than 1/4)..and do pay attention to the guidelines, guess need to soldier up...BUT HOW?
I am sorry for you dilemna...but us young bucks (actually a doe)on the site, think I am following guidelines and a trap gets me...But please know, I am respectful of you, and your concerns...just don't have any answers, dearheart!
I, too, have been away for about 6 weeks....but the last two (LOL)were camping at nearly 5000 feet, Minus 18 and a foot and a half of snow...NO..NOTHING, except food, and fires...SURE glad to be home!
