evil? I had received a text message this morning. It says, God made everything. Then, he created evil. Thus, God is evil.

At the end of the Creation everything was very good : there was no evil (Gen. 1:31). It is an archangel that became the Devil : it only means that God created everybody with the free will to be good or evil, but did not created evil himself...

Yeah, God created an angel and give them free will to choose which way they want and the angel choose to do bad so the angel became evil.

He is sometimes named Satan, and sometimes Lucifer, although Satan and Lucifer are not the same demon. In fact, as angels have the free will to disobey to God and to become evil, there are several fallen angels : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_angel

False duality. Duality, good evil, light and dark. Problem is, one does not create the other. One is the lack of the other. For example, does light create dark? No. Dark is absence of light. You do not create dark, and pour it into a room to make it dark. You remove the light. By removing the light, you have dark. Dark is what we call a room without any light. Hot and cold. Can you make cold? No. Cold is the absence of heat. By removing heat from the room, you make it colder. Christians like myself, believe that G-d is good. That all good comes from G-d. Evil, is the absence of good. Evil is when G-d is not there. G-d does not create evil, but rather that Evil is a lack of G-d. When we humans reject G-d, reject his goodness, the result is evil.

Wouldn't that be like saying that the car manufacturer is responsible for all the drunk driving, car accidents, and speeding tickets? Would we have preferred that God didn't create anything since some have misused their freedom? Evil cannot happen unless someone does evil. If nobody does evil then it won't exist. God is patient. Now He is allowing all of us to do what we want up to a certain extent. He selects suitable candidates for a New World that is coming. 2 Peter 3:13 KJV) 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Evil is tolerated now, but it won't be then.

Like you say in the your blog: "the end result can onLy be ~ the best one possible." God is not worried one bit. He knows what He wants to do. He foretold it long ago and everything is moving according to plan. He has a lot of critics who criticize everything that he does or allows to be done, every step of the way, thinking they know better when they understand nothing at all. God is quietly enduring it all, knowing that eventually, when he is finished, all critics will have nothing more to say. All who are patient will be rewarded for trusting him. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I'm no religion expert but here's what I know : God gives humankind a special gift that is "Freedom to Choose/Discretion" It makes humankind differs from animal, plants etc. it makes humankind "alive". At any time God can change everything to be good, no evil, but he does not. you can read about that in Holy Bible, but don't ask what verses. LOL

God created everything, but He did not create evil; therefore evil has not been created. Good and evil are not things that can be created, but states that a created thing can be in. This is much like on and off. Off does not exist. It is not a thing that can be created. Evil is no more a thing than off is a thing. A thing can be evil or good, just like a thing can be on or off. Evil is a state, not a created thing.

God gave the gift of free will and so we chose evil. God wants the sweetness of your willing devotion to chose good rather than a planet of robots forced to love HIM. We should rejoice in getting to pray and getting to chose.

God created everything including the evil and then gave us the human beings free will to choose between good and bad. He also gave us the ability to distinguish between good and bad. He also sent his messengers to tell us what is good and what is bad. Now this is our test which path we choose. Everybody will have to face God to know how they had been doing in this life. The future life will very much depend on what we do now.

Naseem00 , Shavkat "I think God created evil, for people to know what is right or wrong" ?Yes , God created every thing and the opposite of it to make us discover the good and the wrong : health and illness , good and evil , succeed and fail ... Etc

If God is the creater, then he made the creation, how that creation is used is our problem. Think of an ant hill, the hill is a creation that is successful over and over again thoughout the ages. But the fact that a particular hill is built near a sream which flood every once in a while, and destroys that hill, is this the fault of the original creator of ant hills? Good and evil are man's contributions.

We cant say that God is evil. We have day and night, good and bad, happy and sad. In the same way God has created humane and evil for balancing. If everything is humane and sympathitic, or if everything is cruel, there will be imbalance in every walks of life

what kind of argument is that and that what is the relativity of being a GOD and HIS creation... if HE created something... its all HIS right to do and it is beyond our right to question HIS will. i guess we must spare GOD's name to nonesense matter out of respect my good heavens... thanks

Like other Christians, we worship as the divine Son of God. Satan is a fallen angel diametrically opposite from Christ in every attribute. As the prophet Isaiah wrote," How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer son of the morning! The Apostle Paul wrote that God is the Father of all. This means that all intelligent beings were created by God are His spirit children. Christ alone, however, is the only begotten son of God, the Savior and redeemer of mankind. Jesus Christ represents all that is good, true virtuous, merciful, just and godly. Lucifer is the adversary of everything that Christ stands for. He embodies all that is evil. false, immoral, and devoid of any trace of goodness or divine light. he is the enemy of God and of every human being who seeks to follow Christ.

" God is the Father of all. This means that all intelligent beings were created by God are His spirit children. " This is a contradiction, how to be human beings are all sons of God, then you consider that only Christ is the Son of God and then make him the god and worship him without God ? Are Jesus *PBUH) said to you : worship me without God ?

God created living things like man, animals, plants etc, Evil is a behaviour which was developed by the human beings themselves. I feel God created only good things evil things came into existense by illusions.

It is believed that God created humans and so he created all that goes with them. I think that there is potential for evil in all mankind. It is how a human is nurtured or not and how they are treated that either breeds evil or a better person. It depends on many factors.

I have heard the counter-argument that evil is like the cold and the dark. Cold is the absence of heat, and darkness is the absence of light, and so evil is the absence of God. I believe evil exists because we have the freewill to choose that which is apart from God.

It's indeed a foolishness to think this way! If we will put this things to logical you might be correct, logically. But, we should always remember that spiritual thing exist with logic and can explain logically, yet logic can't explain spiritually. There are also fallacies in logic. God created everything, it's true! He created Lucifer, the bearer of light, the morning star, the worshiper! and because of pride Lucifer became satan. The declaration of the 5 I am! made him Satan (you can read this text in Isaiah: if I'm not mistaken.) Therefore I can say that God created everything and everything is good. Yet, He has given us freedom and that is our responsibility if Lucifer became Satan then it's not because God created him to be. It's because he chose to be that kind of life. Therefore God is the God and the Lord of lords. He can't and He will never be evil!
