Some bad things happened

I have a three year old daughter, a disabled 5 year old son and a 17 year old son. Last week my 17 year old son got off a bus and crossed the road in front of the bus. A car overtook the bus and ended up hitting into my son's hand. His hand got cut and hurt a lot. The driver was a 20 year old that had passed her driving test two years ago. She felt terrible and spent the evening crying and shaking. Her mom phoned me and I told her my son was going to be okay and I understood accidents do happen. It was very upsetting that it happened to my older son. I rang the lady's mom back to next day to say for her daughter to stop being so upset. A couple of days ago my daughter and I were shopping in a small supermarket type of shop. I got a shopping basket and put toilet paper in it. My daughter tripped over and banged her head at the bottom of a display. She cried for 10 minutes and assistants came over with a chair and helped us. Another assistant called for an ambulance. She paramedics came to see my daughter. They examined her in the parked ambulance. Afterwards I carefully walked her home. I knew that by then it was time to walk to the school to collect my disabled son from school. I phoned my mom and she came straight over. I did a mixture of fast walking and jogging to get to the school at the correct time. Today my disabled son was in his wheelchair and my daughter was walking along holding onto one side of his wheelchair. A boy of around 9 years old came running straight into my disabled son's wheelchair. It happened in that same shop. So what bad luck my family has been having at the moment. Did any bad things happen in your family? Have you ever had an accident of any sort whilst driving a car? In you life have you ever fallen over?

I fell in my teens and dislocated my wrist. I've been lucky in my horse falls that I was never hurt that badly, I am fully able to do that by myself.

That is a shame. I tripped over a double step on the pavement and broke my wrist in my twenties. I was riding a horse and fell off when the horse bucked. Laying on the ground a horse kicked me. I broke the top of my arm and damaged my shoulder when I was twelve years old.

I had my car fall into a ditch but luckily no one get hurts (well, I am alone by that time) Then the following day my son bumped our neighbor's car while driving on reverse. I paid a good sum for the damaged but still fortunately my neighbor asked me to pay it by installment. I hope your daughter and your older son are fine now

It was awful when your car fell into a ditch. I am pleased nobody got hurt. It was terrible that your son bumped your neighbors car the very next day. My older son says he has learned an important lesson. When it is dark, windy and rainy people should drive more slowly and carefully. My daughter feels much better and was happy to get a smile award today. Thanks.

They say things happen in threes, so hopefully you've had more than your share of bad luck and good things will happen now, I hope your children are ok, they can be a worry, and when they hurt you feel doubly hurt for them and upset. My mum's has had an ulcerated leg for many years now and it was slowly healing, when she went into Tesco some mindless woman banged straight into her leg, the ulcerated one and now she is back where she started from, ulcers are very complicated things and don't heal quick.

Hi Wolfie. Yes, they do say things happen in threes so I hope nothing else bad will happen. It is such a shame your mum has a ulcerated leg. It was terrible when the person in Tesco supermarket banged right into her. Good luck to your mum with her health.

Well, when I was 17 Ii went to library by myself in my car and when I was leaving, I had to exit down an alleyway that opened on to a street with a sidewalk. I was going too fast and there was a cyclist on a bicycle that was going past in front of the car. I slammed on the brakes and shoved the car in park. The cyclist fell over, but I missed hitting them by a mere couple inches. Now I drive like a little old lady. Lesson learned.

Right now my daughter is having problems with arthritis in her elbow. It's very painful, and she's starting to have trouble with the other elbow. And then my cat, Tiger, has been having urinary tract problems, which can be fatal if not treated. I've had several accidents, most of them pretty minor. I've never fallen over. My mother did though, and ultimately she didn't survive it.

Good luck to your daughter with her arthritis in her elbow. It is awful that the same sort of thing is beginning to happen with her other elbow. I hope your cat, tiger, will be made better. I am very sorry that your mother fell over and she didn't survive.

It was a shame you have been in some car accidents. I was in a car in Australia that skidded on a bridge. The car could have gone into the river or crashed into some people walking on the pavement. Luckily nobody got hurt. Thanks for wishing my family better luck.

This happened in the year 2009. My life generally runs on smooth wheels. I was expecting my 2 friends from the UK. They were visiting us for the first time. I am proud of my capabilities when it comes to taking care of guests and I wanted to do my best for these guests. They had told me about this well in advance but little did I know what was in store for me closer to their date of arrival. Our soak pit over flowed, my pump conked out, my regular maid had to go on leave on some urgent work, the authorities decided on load shedding exactly at that time. It never rains that part of the year but it rained with thunder and lightning. Our guests arrived and one was having high fever. Need I tell you more!

I feel so sad for what happened to your family. I hope your children would recover asap. It's the same with my family, when one gets sick, expect that in the next days one or two in our family will become sick to. It is so sad that sometimes I would question why is this happening to us.

Dear Maximax8, so sorry to hear that.. but most of the times it is like that. Be it troubles or good things, they come one after the other in sequence. And happen to everyone at some time of the life or the other. Not only me, everyone known to me has had their share of accidents or 'BAD LUCK". Even the LUCKIEST PEOPLE I have seen (presumed so) have had their troubles. You being the mother of these three kids who seem to be having their troubles almost together, try to be a bit more careful yet free from tension. Your part of troubles will be over very soon and brighter days can be enjoyed together. Keep your belief strong, pray in a local church (Prayer is the medicine for mind). Donate small amounts to the needy (micro-small also okay). If you have any crows around your house, or any stray animal shelter, donate some food, or amount for food. Hard times will not last. Only strong people do last!!! Wish your good luck starts overflowing soon.
