SIL called the PO PO this afternoon

We have these neighbors next to us that moved in a few weeks ago. They are very disrespectful in that they are always revving up their motor cycles when we are trying to sleep. They are also always burning trash in their yard and the flames shoot up way over our fence. The smoke goes wherever the wind blows it. Tonight the smoke was coming right into our house. I could smell that charred smell if smoke.
My SIL got fed up and called the fire company. The police and the fire truck came at once. I heard the airiness and the honk honk if the fire truck. I don't know what was said but the firefighters came and talked to one if the men in that house. They made them put the fire out. My SIL told the fire company people that I am on oxygen and have breathing problems. Right now my chest feels like I smoked a dozen cigarettes. In wheezing, but not as much now that I had that breathing treatment tonight.
The people must not have had a permit to burn. Some folks do occasionally burn leaves, but these people burn almost every night. I think they burn old tires too by the smell and the high flames. We have a little forest in the back and they do also. A spark could easily jump to our house and trees.
I'm glad that my SIL called the fire company. They responded quickly. I don't know if he directly called the fire company or called 911. I didn't ask him. Since both the PO PO and the fire truck responded, it might have been the latter.

It's good that your son-in-law made the call and got a prompt response. Unfortunately, your neighbors sound like the sort of trashy morons who will not absorb anything from that visit from officials. I say that, because I've had some neighbors in the past who were like that.

Oh the smoke was so thick and dark and smelled 'burnt' if that makes sense. It set off my asthma. They live like morons. They make all kinds if noise. They disrupt this quiet neighborhood. It is quiet except for them.

Are they renting, or did they buy? If the former, it may be possible to get them evicted. At least, that would be the route I would be investigating...

Good thing your SIL made that call. Your neighbors must have really a bunch of inconsiderate people. They could have phoned their nearby neighbors and ask permission or just to give word because like in your condition, they wouldn't even know that unless they have the initiative to know it. I hope they haven't been doing this for a long time before the authorities are called on them, I can just imagine how terrible it must feel for you to inhale those smoke. At least now you can breath easy, literally.

Yeah, the stink came right into our house. The flames shot way up above our fence. They have just been here a month ir two, but they burn a lot. They make a lot if noise at night too. It's irritating. No one is like that here. It's an upscale neighborhood and no one acts up. Except these morons.

hi pointless questions that breathed in s
moke could well have sent you to the hospital.I am glad your son in law called for help and made them put it out. WE had a problem in the last apt. complex we lived in. some of the residents had parking lines marked behind our r bedrooms and one idiot parked his truck with the exhaust pipe under my bedroom window on a hot summer night. my bedroom filled with that exhaust and I was really having trouble breathing. I had to tell the man to shut his truck off as it was filling my bedroom with exhaust fumes. He apologized and I guess he did not realize those rooms were our bedrooms.people can be so thoughtless at times.

I am glad your SIL called the fire department too. That is scarey on several levels. Fires and your breathing. When I was getting bronchitis all the time I really had to be careful going out if there were fires in our mountains becuase i would get really bad. I know what you are going through. In our community there are only certain times we can burn. I would wonder why they feel a need to burn tires. I can understand getting rid of stuff but you can get rid of tires other ways and burning them is so awful.

That is what I am complaining about some people, especially in the neighborhood. I don't know why they are not thinking about the welfare of others. As long as they are okay, they don't care if others will be affected by their act. So inconsiderate people. I can relate to that.
It's a good thing you have a SIL to the rescue.
Have a nice day!

In the past few weeks there have been fires started in order to ambush the fire men, so they may have brought the police as reinforcements. You never know what kind of crazy you will run into.

Good thing he called the authorities. Your neighbors may have just said "Tough!" if he complained to them directly. Now, with luck, they will refrain from burning trash. If not, you can always call the fire department again.
I bet your other neighbors in the area are glad you called, too.

Here you need a fire permit for any burning technically, now we always joke and say have a pack of hotdogs handing. If it;s for cooking methods, then you can do it. So whenever my Dad is burning we have our sticks handing and hot dogs beside it.
My neighbour is a firefighter locally, and well he's out burning. But it is very rare we burn, normally in teh summer, as a nice fire. My old neighbours, when we were kid we were sleeping in our tent outside.
I woke up hearing this nouse and being bright. I thought omg the world's ending, I crawl out of the tent to have 10 feet tall flames next door, and it was litterl feet away from out tent.
He use to throw in his fake Christmas trees, garbage you name it. We use to report him to the town, as he would leave it burning and go inside or leave it at night go to bed.
My neighbours do burn often and I hate when it comes in the house. I dont want my animals inhaling that, normally on a windy day its real bad. Also, when they spray their yards. I take my animals outside my neighbours use to spray their yard. I would be so disgusted. As they sprayed it, it would come into our yard, it was so nasty I would get sick from it.
So being the biatch I am I stood out there and made a big deal about it. Talking away on the phone with my coworker saying how nasty it is, and they are killing me and my animals, after that they never sprayed again.
