No one send me any Gifts :(

Hi friends and lotters
Today, I felt, that it was long time anyone send me any gifts. I have always gifted some of the people here (offline) with something or the other specially on festive occasions but no one cares to give me any gifts...
Wait. I have two of my dear friends from MyLot who sent me gifts - one sent me last year, and trust me, it was a great feeling to get a gift from someone who is so close to me (from Philippines) and then this year there was a card sent to me from another friend from the same country.
This Christmas, I had thought that some of you would share some chocos or even those mugs filled with cold coffee (yeah, I know it is winters... but then, it isnt my fault if Christmas happens in Winters every year).... but unfortunately, nothing happened... and I am still waiting for my gifts.... and we have just a few more days left until the clocks would strike the Arrival of new year... (Time for another bunch of gifts for me
)
Did you get your Christmas Gifts and were they clubbed with the gifts for the new year too?

Still I feel, love, care and concern is the priceless gift than the materials. So I don't bother at all. Usually I don't get any such gift but this Diwali was an exemption somebody given me a 'pen' as diwali gift.
Then do you want Christmas in summer season then you have to shift your home to Australia.

So when are you planning to start writing your autobiography?
I would write mine if anyone gave me a pen as a gift... and that reminds me... I have been asking for a parker pen from someone I know here in my world... and that person is making me fake promises all the time.... GRRR!!!!
I wish Christmas was in summers for once in my lifetime... Australia seems to be a good option... I should now look out for someone to finance

Yes, it should not be. People are tempted to greet each other and alongwith other topics and discussion, an intimacy with other, who are in log tuch through myLot is really not a violation and I think it is required.

Well, i received a gift at least 3 gifts from our clients. But most of all God gave my my wish of getting an electric fan from the raffle draw in our Christmas party. In addition, i was also give a flat iron for dancing the Gangnam! 
Don't worry sids, it is said that Christmas gifts are for children, so don't be sad. For us, it will be the family's togetherness on Christmas day that is the best gift every Christmas day.

Finding the gift you always wished for and that too via a raffle is really really god gifted. I have been missing out many discussions since the past few days, but I am interested to see you performing the Gangnam dance and i am quite sure you would have uploaded a couple of those pics too... I would search on them on your discussions...

I spent some hours that day at the local orphanage - I have been visiting them since the past few years now and am happy that I could do some good use of my day.

SimplyD, look what that Gangnam style did for Christmas. My mom won 5th place in some Christmas party for dancing Gangnam style. She won a rice cooker with steamer.
Sids, you're one kind hearted pal. I wish I could do some good deeds too, something I really want to do. But as of now, I can't think of anything.

Umh..long time, i have no idea to wait a gift or a card in special days such as x-mas, birthday, etc..i feel ok even though i don't receive anything even a bless sentence....i don't know why i am like that but i think it is nice since it makes me not sad when i am single and live alone.

Being all alone myself, I can somewhere relate to when you say about the sadness involved when there is no one around. And this discussion somewhere is just to get rid of that sadness and emptiness around... at least for me. I am happy that several friends mention the non-physical things and weigh them more precious as gifts

dear sids,
I forgot the season due to a beloved that we unexpectedly lose last December 23.
Our family reunion will be on December 31- but I am sure it won't be the same - not even sure if we'll get to celebrate the occasion like we always did before.
We're still mourning...(but the event- Family Reunion must go on for the small kids)
I haven't received any gifts as well (from mylotters) aside from my mom...so don't worry you're not alone.

The concert is a big hit my dear
After the Airsupply concert there's so much to do that keeps me busy offline.
Our country was hit by a super typhoon and I was entangled with our charity works.
A lot of families lost their loved ones from the super typhoon- but I never thought I'm about to face such shocking news, not during this season or the coming days (but it happens)

I read about your discussion on the notifier emails. I wanted to hop onto it and respond but wasnt able to do so. As your title was quite sad, I thought, I am fighting out cold here and am not in good health - arthritis has aggravated due to cold and also wife was around so got a little swayed away from MyLot.
I hope things start getting better for you and family despite the emotional times you and family are going through as I do see the family reunions doing good many times... Good luck with that.

Yeah the BJP lady..she beat up that guy for three days..and the girl I treated as sis became friends with her sister in law who troubled me, and then some promise for money that I am trying trace for an elderly couple not materializing, and some other things...things are just looking bad for now...will know only around Jan 7th if there is any hope for me..lol.
I am ignoring BJP. The only positive is...dad and me are on the same page. And that is saying a lot. Though here too...dad does not let me keep the house clean...lol

Hi!! I have hardly got any gifts from people and I have neither bothered to care for it nor have waited for presents.For me my day with internet connection 22/7(we have power shutdown 2hrs a day) is the best gift and I very well have it.I am satisfied with what I have so my life is full of joy,happiness and peace.I get a gift or not I am hardly worried about it.Hope you get your presents for new year.Advanced greeting for New Year 2013!!

I sent happiness, trucks full of good luck, good health, joyful life and lot of sweet friendships thru him and told him to visit all my friends & those kind lotters (who tolerates me for a year now).. seems he's stuck somewhere in the other corner of this world and hopefully reach you by first of 2013.
So what's the plan for welcoming 2013? I love sleeping and 1st being a holiday - hope to spent some more hours in the very early hours.

I guess, the truck load got to some other address and delivered them there or maybe as the addressee (me) was away, it has decided to go back to you... You know, I was playing Santa that day and I started to believe that Santa doesnt get gifts for himself...
I still have the 1st Jan ahead and hope that I would be home that day...
I love sleeping and 1st being a holiday - hope to spent some more hours in the very early hours.... Oh... so here is some competition again for me... No worries, I would be up early that day and surprise my wife...

Well before I am really looking forward to the gifts that is awaiting for me during christmas but now I realize that it is better to give than to receive.. it felt good seeing someone happy with the gifts that I gave specially the kids., anyways don't be sad if you ain't receive nothing this holiday season.. just think of the blessings that we receive and for me that is enough to be happy..

I realize that it is better to give than to receive.. it felt good seeing someone happy with the gifts that I gave specially the kids.... This is exactly what I do every Christmas and also Diwali (an Indian Festival) since 2008. I visit the kids at the local orphanage and spend some hours of the day with them. As for the gifts... I have collected some good wishes from some of my close friends here and even the new ones have blessed me (like you)... I think these gifts would surely stay a long time with me and do me real good...

I come from China,A growning number of folks who from all walks of life celebrate Christmas.Especifically students of university and college. Only an apple as a gift give each other on Chrismas Eve.but I didnot recieve one.Although I am so happyness,because I also have so many friends.The gift is nothing,friendship is useful in adverse.I donnot kown it isnot diffrent from among our culture.finally happy new year.I sinecely hope that you have a good time in the new year.

I get your thoughts and views dear and I am glad that you are here. I agree that friendship is more important and the gifts mean not much to me either. I was only trying to get an idea about what my friends think about the gifts and if you read on the first page and many others, we all have agreed that good wishes, blessings are much better gifts than the other things

Hey! Don't care that much about the gifts. Once you send a gift, don't expect to receive one at all cost, some people just can't always do it. It doesn't necessarily mean that you've lost your friends. The more important is to keep you friends and to make new ones, some day the gifts time will return. Be healthy and happy, welcome the New Year and send your friends a virtual kiss :)

My family doesn't really exchange gifts anymore, since we are all adults and the trip to celebrate Christmas with the family costs us about $300. I did get one present from my brother and his wife, even though it's against the rules. We exchange cards, instead. But I do have one present for you -- this rainbow which I saw in the sky just before the sun set. Maybe this is a good omen as the new year is about to begin.

I'm sure have one, thesids. the fact that you were able to post this discussion I'm perfectly sure that you received the wonderful gift. The gift of life.
Gosh, my conscience is bothering me. I received many gifts this Christmas. The very first gift that I received was from an online friend yet I was not even able to return the favor. I had been so busy and this is the only time that I was able to have a break from my job.

My family and I live in different countries. We don't send each other gifts because it costs too much in postage. And we each have what we need, so no point wasting money on postage. When we get together, then our time spend together is our gift to each other.
I only gave a gift to one friend who really needs encouraging and uplifting. My other friends and I agree not to exchange gifts because it just gets too expensive and we really don't know what to get each other. Better to save the money and buy what we really need for ourselves.
I attended a Christmas party in which we exchanged fun and silly gifts. Gifts that we really don't like or want. That was a lot of fun opening these silly Christmas gifts at this party. It was just to share fun together.

You seem to be a good friend dear. Here, locally, my only friend who is a Christian is away with family on their vacation and as such, there was no party for me. If he and his family were around, I would definitely have spend my evening hours at his place with all the food and gifts for everyone... I missed him this Christmas but am happy that he and his family are enjoying time together.
