A Job!

Someone just called me from a company that needs roofers badly. They told me to have my husband call them and he can start immediately since he has so much experience in roofing! I am so excited! He is working a little side job today and tomorrow he can start this other job.
It seems things might be getting better for us! I can't wait until he get's home so I can tell him too!

What perfect timing! After what your husband has been through lately, it's about time the wheel of fate turned the right way for him and certainly for you! I am really pleased for you and your husband, it's about time you got some good news! Congratulations and lets hope this is the start of something good for you and your family!

Oh my gosh, now that's scary! Sometimes you have to be careful and figure out which one is the best job to take....which one will have more work, bene's, etc. Ya know, go figure. I hope he makes the right decision and all is well for the future and it's good he's happy! Tell him I wish him good luck on his choice!

Yeah now that the other one is hiring full time and he got this call, he battled with the choice for a little bit. He still is debating a little I think but I am guessing he will stick with the one he's already working because he knows what the boss is like already, what the pay is, etc... Hopefully he makes the right decision for all of our sakes!

I know!!! I'm so happy...but my husband threw a curve ball at me when he said the job he has right now is turning into full time work. He likes the boss and so that's awesome, I'm just glad he's happy! And I'm glad he's going to be working no matter where it is!

That's wonderful! I went on a face-to-face interview-the second one since I became unemployed in early July. We really need me to working, but I've tried applying to five or six local temp agencies; only one did call me and I haven't heard from them since.

He was very happy! But his other job turned into full time work now so he doesn't really know which one to choose!

Yes it is I am quite happy for him! =) Jobs are hard to come by and he has been out of work for months now so this is good news for us. =) He has been roofing for over 8 years now.

Has he been without a job for awhile? Doing roofing is a really tough job but usually it pays well. Its awesome he has a lot of experience in that because people are always needing roofs repaired or houses built needing roofing done. I hope he enjoys this job he will be starting.

Oh yeah, at least 6 months or so he has been out of work...It has been really rough for us lately...
He has been roofing for 8+ years, he is so good at it and he loves it so much. That and welding are his kind of jobs he likes doing.

hi OpinionatedLady you too? this economy really sucks. I was just talking to my son and hes still only got a part time job although his boss really likes him. I keep hoping he can be put on full time.He is a bachelor but still as his mom I do worry for him and I send more prayers to God to help my son financially. I am stuck here in Gold C rest retirement center and cannot help my own son except to just be there for him. He was out of work for so long and he just had to take this job. He is a computer programmer who was making thirty dollars an hour and got laid off and now hes doing electronic work which he did years back and hes being paid at a much lower wage now.

Have you hit up the local food bank. I know the pride swallowing can hurt a bit but I found that not only have we gotten food from our local bank which happens to be in our local AGAPE office. They have helped us so much over the last year of hell.

These things do happen - some see them it as a miracle and some see it as luck.

I know! I am so happy. I just want him to get home so I can tell him already since he doesn't have a phone! I'm going crazy with how much I want to be able to tell him! It is a great start! I am hoping this is our year that things will be better for us.

Well, that is just super! I bet you will start feeling better about things once he is feeling better and knows he has a job. I would still do some work on the communication and spicing it up. Little love notes in his lunch couldn't hurt either.
