I was going through my e-mails watching videos that people had sent me the last couple of weeks, and I came across a New Year's version of Auld Lang Syne with Sissel. Who? Well I had never heard of her either. I played it, and she has a really pretty voice. So I played some more things with her on YouTube, and then I found this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OxoB-zPMu0 My mother used to play this on the piano, and now somebody is singing it. Very pretty. I wonder if I can pick up a version of this for piano for dummies. lol So anyway I combined a new discovery with a good memory. How's that for a nice surprise?

Pretty lady with a pretty voice. I usually watch Celtic Woman on You Tube. A group of women with lovely voices. Have you heard them? I think this gal could be a part of their group. Nice to find a new discovery and a good memory. Doesn't happen all the time either.

I wouldn't have known either if Mom hadn't played it so often.

YouTube makes me nostalgic at times. :) There are so many many songs that we as kids used to sing. I remember those days ...I understand how you feel Dawny. :)

I have never heard of her but found her voice absolutely amazing. She doesn't know it but she has a new fan! I just loved this and have bookmarked it. Thank you so much. Isn't it always the same? Music can transform us back to an earlier time in our lives and you were able to remember your mother playing this.

Several new fans. Actually, I think I'm going to pick up a copy of the sheet music and try and learn it.
