Reading is one of the essential habit we must have to but recently young one's don't even bother reading information what they all do is play some computer games. If we look back time especially our ancestors, anything will do for them before just to know how to read! As of the moment, I'm fond of reading some magazines....How about you? What reading materials catches your attention?

I enjoy reading all kinds of things, but mostly nonfiction. History is cool, especially personal accounts like diaries of the Great Depression or pioneer days. I also like magazines, but not the common "women's" magazines. They bore me in a hurry.

To each their own. Not everyone enjoys history. I do think everyone needs a good education in it, though.

reading historical might be of great advantageous part on the side of he student's but for me it's quite sometimes really boring. What catches my interest when it comes to reading historical accounts are the tourist/historical places that I wanted to visit.

I enjoy true crime, romance and mystical stories. Magic, witchcraft and such are entertaining. There is a Victorian magazine that I enjoy also. It has vintage remakes of furniture and pictures of lovely houses and displays of table services and such. Nice to dream of such things.

I've tried reading long crime novel. It's quite interesting but I can't concentrate other things If i can't finish reading it. The suspense seems slowly killing me.The action that I really feel is in the highest level.

i am fortunate that both of our daughters like to read. our older daughter didn't like read much but then she started reading some 'chicken soup for the soul' books for preteens and now she enjoys it. our younger daughter has always been a book worm like me. as for the topics that i tend to gravitate towards are history and frugal living.

I really do admire kids who are really a bookworm since from the start.I envy for the parents who brought them up and I salute them. I wish also if I will have my own family, I can still manage my kids to be a good reader or just a little passion in reading.

I'm very fond of reading novels. Anything that catches my attention will do. I'm not so much into romantic novels, but yeah i've read the twilight series. I've read Harry Potter too. I like Sidney Sheldon because he knows how to give power to women in his books. Now i'm reading 50 Shades of Grey and the Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. Reading has taught me a lot of things including places I've never been to. That's why some people thought I've traveled a lot even though I haven't. Reading gave me the power to converse in almost all of the topics so I could really talk to anybody about almost anything.

You're absolutely right. Reading really gives me an outlook in that certain beautiful scenery. Some will say it's magical and it's only in our imagination but there's nothing impossible in reaching your imagination. It also gives an eye opener and adds interest for us to visit that certain location.

That's quite a very clever thing for you to do. You're not only reading but also you will learn something that can be applies in cooking our in your real life.

I think its important for our children to see us read, as then they are more likely to enjoy reading. My youngest daughter works at the library and she is in her 20's. I enjoy reading mysteries, cookbooks and books to help me save money.
