Have you ever seen, what you consider, a crazy hobby?

I have watched a bit of some of the reality shows, for a peek of what they are about. Some of these people have activities, or hobbies, that I feel are crazy or strange. One was mud diving. LOL Some people collect bottle caps. There are people who use metal detectors to find things like coins, jewelry (maybe not so crazy). What would you consider, or have seen or heard of that is an odd hobby?

On the internet I read about someone who collected navel lint. He keeps his navel lint in big jars and he has been doing it for years. I thought that was one of the strangest hobbies I have heard about. I understand why people collect stamps, bottles, toys, coins and many other things, but I not sure what my he decided to turn his own navel lint into a collection Another pretty strange collection that I read about was a man who collected barbed wire, and he has many different types of barbed wire in his collection.

I saw on TV once a person that collected antique dental apparatus. Some of that stuff was horrible! None of it looked like anything I would want anybody to put near my mouth, let alone in it. The dental furniture was nice. There was a beautiful wood and glass cabinet with drawers on the bottom and a cabinet on the top with glass doors. But the other stuff was really scary.

I have habit of collecting coins, but only of my country. I collect very old rare Indian coins. I simply love this. But yes i have heard people collecting weird stuffs. My sister when she was small she use to collect small plastic medicine bottles. It was really weird because she use to find them in the backyard where people use to dump garbage.

Coin collecting is quite common. We started a USA quarter collection for my granddaughter. She stays overnight, once per week, so she uses my daughter's old room as hers, when she stays. On the wall, is the board where we put the quarters (25 cents) under each state of the USA. She still needs 10 more, and one USA gold dollar, to finish this collection. I used to collect vintage USA pennies, but stopped and sold my collection. Someone once stole a very, rare penny from my collection and I was so upset, that I gave up.

They do such crazy hobby is because it makes them happy if they are stress or depress. I do not know other reason but this is according to my knowledge. I have seen a man who do a crazy hobby on his life size doll on youtube.com. Well, I don't know if its normal or not, but I think its not normal for me. Maybe he's lonesome and alone that is why he always do those "nasty thing" to a life size doll and become his hobby.

I don't have crazy hobbies. But my sister in law things that I am crazy eating a banana and dipping it in soy sauce! And I also eat my guava dipped in vinegar. Well, I love eating them that way. I also like eating my fried chicken with a mixture of catsup and a drop or two of soy sauce. Am I weird?

Spoon collection. My grandmother collected spoons. For years she had well over a hundred. I could understand if they were fancy or decortive, but no they were regular ordinary spoons. She would get them at yard sales and thrift shops. I have no idea why. She had a bunch of them on display at her house. Her husband use to make little display cases for them. All ways thought it was odd.

I know many people who collect them. My sister in law collects ones from different countries. My husband collects lapel pins, from different places that we visit.

Have you see the stupid commerical where a guy is showing how he finds things with his metal detector? And he holds up a coin and says, "With these discoveries I'll be able to pay my way through college." I'm like, uh, do you mean clown college? No way! I have heard a guy talk about how he collects barf bags. He travels a lot.

For example, those people whose hobby is to get as many piercings on their body as they can... there are people who have piercings all over their faces... ugh. Or the Where the hell is Matt? guy, whose hobby is dancing stupid dances all around the world... but that's a cute one. And what's with owling, planking, milking and other -ings? Nonsense...
