i am using coconut as a food item in my daily diet. i used to cook curries with coconut. i am using coconut oil .it give more taste to foods. also it has very medicinal function. 1.take a halfboiled egg. make a small hole at the top of egg. pour 1/2 teaspoon of cocnut oil into it. mix well and drink. it is very good for weight gain. 2.take 4 ilachi seeds. make it as powder. add this to tender coconut water. drink for four days. this helps to reduce urinary tract infection etc etc

Yes, knowing the coconut very well is wonderful and helpful. When the supply is just nearby, lots of recipes one can think of can be cooked.

I've had shredded coconut meat few times. Mostly on cake frosting. I do like it. One time I got a whole coconut, but it smelled horrible and it seemed to have a fungus on the inside part. I threw it out. I never got another one. They sell coconut milk in the organic section of the store that I shop in. To me it tastes and smells of sun screen lotion.

Sorry for the decayed and foul-smelling coconut meat. Like all decayed or decaying fruits they're bad, smell horrible. It's amazing when we have them all, meat and water or juice right at the tree.
