I am still strong.

As I have said in my previous discussion the sudden weather change didn't affect me. Today my son bought sugar canes and half ripe guava; he usually brings on Mondays. I am fond of these two; I eat in spite of my diabetes. I peel off the outer skin of sugar cane using my teeth, bite them to pieces and suck till they reduce to just fibers; similarly I eat the guavas. My son his wife can’t do this with teeth they use knife to cut in to small pieces. So far I have lost only 3 teeth, 2 are molar, one front lower; they are strong. Well the reason might be any or all of the following. I have ate pure stuff, unadulterated compared to them, the vegetables were grown in fields, no chemical manure were used, only compost; no pesticides sprayed. I used to brush teeth using sticks of Babul and Neem; no tooth pastes or tooth powders; my mom made tooth powder from charcoal powder, clove etc; even now I use herbal tooth paste and herbal tooth powder; but I use tooth brush; it is no more possible to get those sticks. Friends how strong you and your teeth are; how many broken and how and at what age? Do you eat sugar cane, guava and other fruits by biting as I do? You use tooth pastes, herbal or others? Please share and comment on this. Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. B.Saraf. PhD. Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Thank you my friend for sharing traditional stuff from your country, neem tree is or was recently introduced from India in my country as a way of insect repellent against Dengue, I broke my front tooth during a mountain climbing expedition some 25 years due to sugar cane, the sugar cane in the mountains is really tough, smaller but so hard, unlike what we propagate for sugar, one of my trophies why i now have to sport a jacket and a dowell on my root canaled front tooth, guavas, I could easily eat that

I peel and cut up apples and things like that and then eat them. For some reason the skins texture just bugs me now. Even the grapes get peeled for that reason. It didn't used to. Maybe its another "symptom of old age" like my dad says. There's that and the fact that there are people who dig their finger nails into the produce. You can see the marks they leave behind. There is more and more of that happening. Disgusting! My teeth are still strong too although I should probably get braces. I did hear that crooked teeth people make the best kissers, however. My tooth paste is non-fluoride with grapefruit seed and peppermint oil and I rinse with a mix of clove oil and cinnamon.

Now at the age of 24 I am strong enough to enjoy half ripe guavas and peel off sugar canes with my teeth, but don't know whether I would be able to do it at your age.You are from old generation and people of that generation are generally still more fit and healthier than we youngsters.Fortunately I don't have any physical problems now and try to keep myself fit and in good shape.Let me see what future has in store for me.I have been sowing mangos, hope I would reap mangos. It's nice that you are now so fit and healthy.I wish you a long and healthy life. All my best wishes.

Of course, I love sugar cane. It is sweet but sometimes when I eat too much, I felt as if my tongue was aching because of the rough texture of the sugar cane itself. I just know this time that I am reading your started discussion that there is a herbal tooth paste . lol. Since I was a kid, I just know the tooth paste that has been bought in the grocery store. For guava, I love it very much most especially the ripe one.

Oh, your teeth are indeed strong. I won't dare to eat sugar canes and guavas. I could feel that my teeth aren't that strong as yours. I used to eat sweets when I was younger so I already lost two molars before 30. I hope my teeth will survive until I reach 60's. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

Dear angel. Sad to hear you lost 2, i think you ate sweets but didn't brush at bed time and washed mouth after eating sweets, better to use good quality herbal paste and brush in morning/before going to bed and after principal meals

Unfortunately, I have to say that I was not blessed with really good teeth. I am still in my early 30s and though I do still have all of my teeth, I have a lot of them that need to be taken out and I'm going to have to get a top denture. I know that neither of my parents had really strong teeth and both of them had lost all of their top teeth by the time that they were in their early 40s. So I inherited my soft enamel from them and I know that myself and my siblings are destined to lose our teeth at an early age as well.

that's nice for you sharing your learned knowledge. I lost almost all my teeth on sugar cane. Now, I am no longer practicing it. I have my diabetes by now and I refrain from eating food with high on sugar. Specially sugar cane and mango. I am drinking warm water for five years now and my health is going back to normal.
