An Update

I have a few things to say so I'm just going to call this "An Update". First things first. T-mobile. I have a mobile hotspot, it allows for text messaging. I don't use it to text message, I have a cellphone for that. Long story short, I saw on my account that I was going to be charged. I call the company (after the automated system thought I said "good bye") and they said they could block other numbers (other then tmobile) from texting me, but that they couldn't reserve the charges. I didn't give a big hubba ba lu over it because it's just 0.40. Yes it'd be nice not to have to pay it, but it's easier to just pay it then fight it. Even though, yes I know some say "that's like saying you accept the texts." Wow that's a lot for just one little bitty thing to say. Now onto the next. I mailed off the application for the driving school. They called me yesterday and I have four days (8 hours) scheduled. They called me a lot sooner then I thought they would, which it's a good thing I waited until I had my tax money back to mail the application in. In any case, she said she'd take me to the county I wanted to go to to do the test itself. The company (officially) said no. She said she'd check into it, but she's done it for others before so not sure why they said no to that. So I've got that underway and I am happy about it. Nervous, but happy.

I really hate cell phone companies. I had a cell phone for about three months back in 2009. I had tried to get two accounts put into one because I also had another product from the company. So I finally get that done and I get a bill with twice the balance it should have been. I called them and explained what had transpired. Still they were going to charge me. I finally waited until I could talk to the original person who had changed everything and said it was taken care of. And I talked to the original manager who had taken care of a problem before. I will fight and I won't pay for something I don't believe I owe. You betcha. These companies make enough money without that.

If it's a substantial amount, and for me that's over $5.00, I will fight it. Other wise I will just let it go unless it will be something that is recurring. I want to bundle mine but in the long run I think I'd be paying more then I do ow so I'll just keep with what I have. I know cellphone wise tmobile can be expensive.

That really does stink about those fees that are being charged when it comes to your mobile hotspot, I do realize that it is less than a dollar, but it is still quite a pain the butt when we have to pay fees that we were not counting on paying. As far as the driving school goes, if they will not allow you to take the classes in the county where you are going to be taking your driving test, I don't think that is something that you should stress too much because if you can drive in one county, you can drive in another. The laws will not differ from one county to another.

I imagine she will let me do a little bit of driving in the other county, but your right law wise. I am just concerned with starting to drive in traffic patterns I am not used to. I am used to driving where there is very little to no traffic at all.

Very good. You are actually making a lot of progress. I guess I would do like you, for a forty cent charge I would just block the texts. I would also choose not to read them, as on my phone, which is prepaid, I can do that. If it is the phone company itself, I do not get charged. Relax and enjoy your driving lessons and getting your license. I waited a long time to get mine, and did not do it when I was a teen either, just cause everyone else did. I could see no point in it until I needed it.

What company said no? T-mobile is the worst. Tony had the most awful experience with them. First they gave him a "free" phone with a contract, come to find out the phone wasn't free, just the charges were pro-rated onto his bill. When he called to contest that, naturally all they said was that he signed a contract. Later, when his voicemail stopped working, instead of fixing it for him, they put some pay voicemail service on his phone, and it took practically an act of congress to get it off. Their people hung up on him, refused to put him through to a supervisor, and were just generally nasty.

One very famous US Company actually called me here in J.A. when the daughtyer wanted to terminate the contract. They asked for her number Even I could not work that one outSo I have them the number that I had which was her number with them and then I said that they should really get their meds changed.

I have been three days dealing with a Phone Company and the problems are not yet sorted. They can be he*l on earth to deal with. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your driving lessons and I hope that all goes well with you. Take care

I hate when things that should take one call to sort out and resolve turn into more calls and more people to talk to / more days. A lot more has happened but I don't want to make a discussion about it since I need to spend time to play catch up. I don't know when I'll have that chance to play catch up as I shouldn't even be online right now.

You go lady. It's about time. As for the T-Mobile charges. That's just standard if you don't have a package deal. MetroPCS offers that too to block numbers and it's only $5 additional.

I don't have a phone with tmobile though, I have a mobile hotspot. Unlimited, overcharge free plan. I pay $80.00 a month plus tax, but the device can be texted and that is extra since I don't have that on my plan. Well it can't be texted now as I have it blocked, but it could.

That's a nice extra. Did you have a cell phone with them as well? I don't know why a device would need to be texted, but I understand when it comes to messages from the service provider.

Oh, I used to have that with Verizon but the texting was not extra. It was part of my data plan.
