Top Chef

If I ever decide to own a restaurant, then I'm trying out for Top Chef. I found a where are they now and the past 8 seasons every winner has been successful. I think that is amazing, as we see all these dating shows where so many of them don't find the right person.
Clearly the judges picked well and I'll admit I was happy to see winners that can cook quite well and deserved to win. The season 9 winner is opening his place this spring and I'm sure he will do well.
I can't think of any other show where the winners all went on to be big successes. Anyone know of a show where the winners are happy today, as it certainly isn't Survivor. One couple just split up and another winner spent time in jail for not paying his taxes. The Biggest Loser we have seen a winner from a past season put on a lot of weight.
I look forward to hearing about other reality shows, as maybe there is another show with happy winner(s) years later.

Its a known fact that reality shows are not 100% real. All the participants become temporary celebrities. Some land up with roles in small serials.That's it. I have even seen a reality show winner participating in another reality show a year later. This clearly shows that he has not acheived what he wanted from winning the show.

I sure have seen several people on Survivor and then on The Amazing Race. Its hard to believe they need more money, as its taxable income and more of it would end up not being that person's to spend. Thanks for posting.

Hmmm, I can't really remember any other contestants from reality shows that really went on to do very well. Because in American Idol some seasons the actual winner crashed and burned, but people in the top ten of that season went on to become big. Because although Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson are winners who went on big, the people in the top ten who didn't win, but went on to be big are Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry. And even if those two had won, the percentage of winners who went to be big would still not be very high considerng how many seasons the show has been on.
