Hey MyLotters, I recently had posted a discussion concerning facebook and the posts that peopls display. I read each and every response and must tell you in all honesty that I wish I had each and every one of you as my everyday, closeby friends. Just the fact that we can hold a conversation and no matter what our beliefs are, we help the discussions by adding a few words. I am very happy and grateful to you guys and to MyLOt for giving me a forum to express myself and get valued responses from others from all over the world. My discussion stated how upset I was at the posts being made by so called friends. I would very much like to make my facebook experience as pleasant as myLot. In order to do this I want my MyLot friends to join me on facebook. IF you're interested in having a new friend, please friend request me. Denise Landry. It'll be wonderful to hear from all around the world whats daily goings on. Thanks for being there for me Ive been on MyLOt since 2007. Well, I feel like a 'thank you' is in order. I always try to live my live by the Golden Rule. I think you might already be on my list. I will look. I think I have been on Mylot since 2005-6ish.

I found more than the first four I had found, as well. Based on what I saw on her profile here I picked one and sent a message to her "other" folder, where ever that is. dloveli, you are in Massachusetts, right?

yes, we do friend all here, not only posting discussions, and sharing views.
even sometimes im thinking mylot is never like facebook, members here do posting discussions everyday, same as well, posting response back and port. and no time for sharing and making a friend for each other. I like here in many different reason but only sad is we all repeating what we have done here everyday.. only opinion is change

I agree with you. It would be great to connect with each other over and above mylot. I have had friends who seem to have disappeared during my inactive period though, who used to help me out really and genuinely on mylot. Mylot is a group of people who will help and pray for each other whenever need arises.

Hello, dear! I am happy that you have found Mylot and was able to experience how wonderful this site is. This is really a different kind of community compared to other sites. Coz here at Mylot, we feel the warmth of love and concern of each member. Well, there could be some who might try to rain on our parades but, that is just happens anywhere.

Well put Jenny. THere's been a few that join the site to antagonize some of our members. Most of them tell them off in a polite sort of way and are dont with it. Unfortunately for me, must be ahonest and admit that Ive let a few of them get under my skin. That, howevrr, was when I first joined the site. In almost all instances they got the hint. As the years have rolled by things have gotten better as I have matured. lol Or i hope they have. :p

I have also been through that phase. At first, I was disheartened by the bad comments I was getting. It was sort of discouraging me to continue joining in this site. But then as time went on, I have learned not to be bothered by those negative comments. We differ in opinion. If someone is literally making me feel bad, I just ignore them.
So, what we all experience here as a newbie must be just like a baptism of fire.

Well Im going to check out this aite Gather now that you have mentioned it. I would love to read about you and your memories. It reminds me when my cousin and his wife lived with me. We used to lay on my bed and she would reminisce about her life and share different stories and anecdotes. I love listening to stories. Guess it brings back memories of my Grandfather telling me stories when I would stay at his house. Anyways sorry for babbling. lol Its in my blood. I am going to try and friend request you on fb. It is wonderful to be friends with you all, i agree. mylot is a really great site and I am sure as you are that i will always be a member of this site for a very very long time. =)

There is a group of myLot in Facebook also and I think it is good to add friendship in myLot. You can add me at the same name. I think it is great to have friendships in outside of myLot and also to keep in touch and also to know each other through myLot through various discussions. I will add you.

You know, since I've been a part of mylot for quite a long time, I do have some people that I've become friends with on mylot that are now friends of mine on facebook as well and I definitely do have to say that it is very nice to have the opportunity to get to know some of the people that I'm friends with on here in an arena that is completely different from facebook. I do believe that I might take you up on your offer of friendship on facebook.

You seem so friendly Denise :) btw, we can be friends here in mylot also since we can do mylot eceryday and update ourselves, too just the same with facebook, In fact here is better than facebook as we get genuine comments and ideas here, no pretense and all. Well it's not bad if we become friends in fb too, ill try to search and request you in fb :)
