Getting Cards in the Mail

I used to love getting and sending emails rather than getting and sending cards in the mail. Now I'm back to sending cards in the mail. I think it would be exciting nowadays for people to get a colorful envelope in the mail addressed to them with a nice card inside and a special message. So I bought a Hallmark card program for my computer, and I'm making cards to send to my friends. And Walmart had a box of card envelopes that have a variety of colors: pink, green, blue and yellow. Do you like to get cards in the mail? And do you still send cards to people?

I don't send normal cards to anybody by mail. Because it is inconvenient for me to go to send it in a post office. And it spends some money and time. I prefer to send the E-cards much more. As to receiving the cards, I am not very excited to it yet. Since usually there are a few words of greetings only. Whereas I prefer to read a lot of words

I get cards from my brother. I occasionally send cards, mostly at Christmas. I know tht there are tons of great cards you can make at home. I also have a book that tells how to make envelopes. That is another hobby I need to get to.

I love getting card. I make them too and love sending them.....I send one to my youngest sister almost every week. I know people say it's nice to get something in the mailbox that is nice instead of just bills!

Ever since the invention of emails, I no longer get cards or letters on the mail. All I ever get right now are bills and notices. I do miss the traditional manner of correspondence where we write to friends and family or send pretty-looking cards. While emails are fast and convenient, they cannot take place of the traditional cards we used to receive. I still have those cards received years ago and have kept them as remembrances of those days when technology has not yet swept the world of communication.

I love sending and receiving cards. I am even more excited at receiving them than emails. I just think it is a bit more personal when I see my friends' or family's hand writing.

I must admit, I am far too nostalgic! I love receiving cards, and do have a drawer full to prove it. I have the last Birthday Card my Father sent me..and I hate to tell you how many decades ago, that was. I cherish, so much more, the effort some-one has made, to send me a card...and I do send lots, as I make my own...a method called "pergamano" --hence my name. It's a craft thousands of years old..first discovered on the walls of the ancient city of Pergaman. Yes, it is so personal..and so tangible, I love to get them out and re-read them!

I like getting cards in the mail, as I can keep the good ones in my bible forever.
