I am feeling so cold. The weather is so changeable and today there has been periods of hot sun and showers and now it is cold. I actually am wearing a jacket -not a heavy one - that I wore in the U.K. last year. I know that many of you are having really freezing weather and it has been so horrible for you as some temps are below freezing. I just cannot imagine that. But to me, as I am accustomed to a warmer climate this is cold. Would you consider 68.9 to be hot? The temp will fall lower during the night too.

I would consider that temperature awesome! Today it got to 57 degrees (F), although during the night the low was 32 degrees. My ideal temperature is 70 degrees. That is assuming the Oklahoma humidity won't make it feel like 85 degrees. That stupid humidity can ruin everything!

Oh my, yes. And that is why in the spring and summer when I step outside and feel the humidity I know tornado weather could always be around the corner.

I did not know that Oklahoma was humid. About 80 degrees is good for me

I am sure it must feel cold to you, but we are looking forward to getting up to that for a day or two this week. Go make some hot tea and find a cozy throw to snuggle under.

I am snuggled under a light comforter with two sleeping bodies either side of me. I could have gone to sleep with them but would have woken up at three or four am and then not be able to get back to sleep again

It just depends on where you are. 68.9 is about perfect for a daytime temperature here, but it would be hot at night. I keep my bedroom at around 60 during the winter. In the summer it has to be higher because I don't want to run the air conditioner so much, and it's not comfortable to me.

It gets over 100 F here sometimes in the summer and doesn't always cool down until the middle of the night. It's usually decent by morning, though. The house heats up during the day and it takes awhile to cool down. If I'm going to sleep, I have to run the AC for awhile anyway.

Ys, it does depend on where you are. I live high in the muntains and it is cooler plus we get a lovely breeze at night.I usually use a ceiling fan and do not run the ac - mainly becaue of the expense but I am fine with the fan which is situated right over my bed on a longer fitting so it is very cool.

Then we are not as hot as you.It may sometimes reach 100F butthis is rare. because we are a small Island we always get the breezes from the sea so it is better for us. We are small but it take hours to get anywhere as we are also very mountainous

I would love it if it was 68 degrees. Our highs on Sunday was close to 60 and it felt wonderful. Of of those who live in colder climates have thicker blood than you do, so 68 would feels cold to you. So stay warm..:)

Today it was 50 degrees F and for this time of year that is beautiful! The kids spent most of the night outside playing because it was so nice. 68 would be about perfect for me. I don't like it much hotter than that.

no, I would not consider it hot at all. I live where temps do drop below zero and I so hate it when it gets like that. 68.9 would be comfortable here but definitly not hot.

It's electric heat and I've been used to gas heat so I think that is the difference. I, too, thought something was up with the thermostat but that is not the case. Also there is no carpets in this place which I think also makes a difference. And tell your sister that I'll pay her 7pence to snuggle.

I could not take the cold again. My childhood was cold and memories of shivering in front of a coal fire

I can't figure it out at all. perhaps there is something wrong with your thermostat? I used to pay my sister sixpence a week so I could cuddle into her back

Convertion Fahrenheit to Celsius: 68.9ºF = 20.500ºC That is sure cold if during the day, and lower in the night.. that is sure coldy evening. I prefer warmer climate as well. Can stand the cold especially below 20 degrees Celsius.

Actually we use celsius too but the most of mylot come from the USA and they do not use this measurement. Very cold in the night but the sun is out now so hopefully it will be back to us having a warm day

If it was 68.9 in Puerto Rico I would be cold for sure. Now if I was in New Mexico or New York I would be happy and comfortable. It is so weird living in PR my body temperature changed and anything before 72 I'm feeling cold. In fact for the past three months I have been wearing winter pj's and a blanket on the bed. When I'm watching TV I have a blanket on the couch for the times I get cold while watching TV.

68 here in the us is not really hot. Also yesterday march 15 it was in the 70's and today march 16 it is in the 50's so hot one day cold the very next. The weather here changes from day to day. Mostly this winter it has been very cold but the past few days cold one day hot the next and then back to cold. I wish it would be one temp and stay that way.

Seeing as how we had a period of time during last summer where our daily high temperatures were over 100 degrees, I can't say that I would consider 68.9 to be hot. However, having been through the cold of winter (not extremely cold, but chilly none the less), I would love to be able to have that kind of a temperature for our daily high for a little bit as it would be comfortable and I wouldn't have to wear a sweater or jacket all the time.

That's like 20 degrees Celsius! Oh what I wouldn't give to feel like 20 degrees here already! When I lived and worked in Asia, I was used to a warmer climate. Almost similar to where you are. And maybe I would have called 68.9 F as cold. It's all relative, I guess.
@cynthiann (18602)

Yes it is relative and our bodies adjust to the different temperatures. And guess what? Today is cold too. I am wearing a light jacket

Haha, you and your empirical measurements, I had to convert that to Celcius. But you're right that is rather cold. I have it similar here in Poland. Its actually snowing right now, just started today and looks like it will be continuing throughout the week. It certainly is strange because normally at this time of year its getting gradually warmer. But now we're going to get a week of snow before that happens, if not more. I just hope winter ends soon, I had hoped spring was upon us.
