All I want is the simple juicer

I was at Walmart buying veggies, the juicer that was my Dad's mom finally bit the dust *after about 65 years.
It's one of those plastic ones, you cut the fruit in half, then turn it on it, then pour it out.
I was looking in Walmart for another, my Dad gave me that one because I was the only one that used it.
Well all they had was these fancy machines, I don't use it often so it's not worth a $100 machine.
I asked the sales rep and they looked at me like I was nuts. I may look at the dollar store, but maybe they don't make them like that anymore.

It's such a shame that a simple, cheap gadget has to be discontinued so something way more expensive (and, generally electronic) comes out instead. You'd think more of the cheaper ones would exist, to save on energy if nothing else.

I'm shocked that you haven't been able to find them at Wal-Mart because I see them all the time at the Wal-Mart that is close to our house. However, I've not bought one from Wal-Mart because I used to be a Tupperware rep and I was able to get a juicer through Tupperware for close to the same cost as the ones that they have at Wal-Mart and not only that, they are also warrantied for life so it made it an even better deal in my opinion.

I hope you find the juicer you are looking for, my niece brought her juicer, from walmart and I think she paid $100 for it, I don't think I will be buying me a juicer because, I won't be needing one right now, maybe later, I think I will be buying most of the things, for my kitchen from bed bath and beyond, they have some nice things in that store.

I have two different kinds of juicers and neither of them cost more than forty dollars. One is for citrus. You cut the citrus fruit in half and place it on a cone and hold it while the thing reams your fruit to extract the juice. That was ten, probably fifteen now. The other one you chop your fruit, put it in the chute and it separates out the seeds, grinds the fruit to a pulp and fills a resevoir with juice. You can then use the pulp like if you did carrots, for making things like carrot cake. You can add any of the pulp to stews or use it in baking.

You should go to thrift shops and goodwills in your area, that's where I got my juicer from and it is one of the older models like you are talking about. It's a juiceman jr., that's the model that it is and it looks like its probably from the eighties or seventies. It works really good though and it only cost me like five or six dollars.
I've also found a food processor at a goodwill for around five or six dollars as well.

I have a jicer that I don't use anumore, as it is to much of ahassle to clean after i use it, so I just stopped using it after awhile. My ex husband was telling me about an extractor that pulverizes the fuits and veggies, and you don't lose anything. I lookde for what he had mentioned, and Walmart had it for $100, and that sounds like a lot of money, but it is worth every penny. There is no cleanup, except to celan out the cup you mix it it, the lip ring and handle and the blade. That is it. So simple, that I use it everyday. It is the best investment that I have ever made. It is called the nutribulledt, made by the same company that made the magic bullet. The nutribullet is an upgrade to the magic bullet and I am golad that I bought it, as I use it every morning. It is so healthy and delicious. It doesn't look good to drink, but I don't care, as I use it for the benefits that it will give me. you could do a review on it to see what you think. Take care, and have a good day.

I think I know just what kind of juicer you meant. I used it before, you just need to cut the fruits in half especially those with harder skin and squeeze it out with the top. I still see some of those juicer in local supermarket. I believe it is still possible for you to find one. But if you really cannot find one, perhaps you should save some money for the machine type juicer which is really not that bad too.
