11 Year old Girl gives Birth

An 11 year old girl gave birth in Houston, Texas after being allegedly raped by 21 year old Deandrea Devon Davis-Williams for almost a year. He would sneek into her apartment when her mom left the house. The school called the mom after the child was experiencing pregnancy symptoms. That is when the child confessed to her mom that Williams was coming into the apartment and raping her since last summer. This is totally horrible story but what I don't understand is first of all leaving an eleven year old by herself. Secondly how can you not realize that your 11 year old daughter is now 7 months pregnant. I could see if she was only one to three months pregnant but 7 months. Also, I'm sure being raped almost everyday would also change the girls personality or mood. Someone wasn't focused or paying attention to this little girl. Williams claims he didn't do it however, he ended up texting the girl saying he was going to commit suicide for her telling her mom. This is the second child this year that I have heard of that has given birth. The other girl was in Mexico at the age of 9 the alleged rapist got away. What is this world coming too??

I feel so sorry for these lids having to deal with the realities of life at their age. I do not know what goes inside the head of men who gets attracted to such young girls? Don't they just want to have someone who know what to do instead of them making those girls as puppets?

I guess that is their attraction having the power over them instead of a grown women knowing what to do. Nevertheless, it is totally disgusting and all men who rape babies should be castrated in my opinion, because they will never stop doing it.

Stories like this really are something that makes me sick. One because there is no reason that a little girl should have to endure being raped like that and secondly because of the fact that my daughter is ten years old and the thought of something like that happening to her is enough to kill me. That said, I don't think that there is really an issue with leaving an eleven year old child at home alone (I was babysitting by the time I was eleven). However, I do think that the mother of this child should have realized that her daughter was pregnant by the time that she was at the seventh month.

Exactly, way before she was seven month pregnant the mother should have noticed something was wrong. Also to get pregnant she needed to be getting her period. Does her mom not realize she is not getting her period? My daughters were in their late teens and I was asking did you get your period this month or I would know due to them being sick or in a bad mood. I just feel the mom was not being a mom at all. When I was growing up at the age of eleven we still couldn't be left alone by law. It was either thirteen or fourteen I don't remember

That is the problem parents are in denial. They were not paying attention to what was going on right under their roofs. It is shame then that the child has to be punished for the rest of her life in a sense due to the mom not being there for her.

This is really weird!!! I think that the mother was not paying attention to the child!! I think that what was happening to the child, the mother only discarded as something that she thinks as an adolescent trouble? As to the pregnancy, i have a first hand experience with someone who was pregnant for 9 months already before she admitted and told her mom that she was pregnant (she was 18 then) and she did hide the child and kept wearing tight clothes and pants in order to hide the tummy and it did not grow as much too...

hi there! i think if it is the first time, to get pregenant it can be hidden especially if the parents do not know and take care and take notice of their kids... as with my mom's friend. =) this only shows us that parents should still must be mindful of their children.

I know I had a cousin myself who was 9 months pregnant and her mom my aunt didn't seem to know it. However, she was at my mom's house one day and I saw her and said to myself she is pregnant. When I got home I called my mom and said you know so and so is pregnant. No she isn't my mom says. I said yes she is. My mom says my sister would have told me. Well low and behold two days later she gives birth to a boy. Surprise surprise. My point in all this is though 11 years old unless she was already overweight it would be hard to hide a pregnancy.

Certainly parents are not paying attention to what is going on with their children. I hate to say it but the girl was obviously letting him in so this girl might have been consenting to this and that is why she was not traumatized by it like she should have been. Not that a 21 year old man should be messing with an 11 year old girl weather she consents or not that is just wrong. Obviously there is some serious lack of parenting there, and the mom obviously doesn't pay much attention to her daughter. Such a sad sick world we live in.

Ok there is an update to this story. The 21 kid is a cousin to the girl being raped. The aunt lived in the same complex. He was suppose to check up on the 11 year old cousin when the mom was gone. So he would sneak into the back door and come up behind her drag her to her room and rape her. She would tell him to stop that it was hurting her. Still unbelievable that a mom can't see that a girl of 11 is gaining wait or looking pregnant.

The world is not different as it was 100 or even 500 years ago. Girls/women are raped since they do exist. There are plenty of societies/cultures where girls of that age do give birth. Because they are already married, forced to be married, because they are raped, by a stranger or their own dad! Today I spoke to the aunt of my best friend. She and her sister were raped by her own father. She is 61 now her son is 51 years old. The fact you hear now about it doesn't mean the world is changing or it's happening way more. It means you are more aler of it and we also have other ways to communicate. Before everybody was ashamed, the child was raised by granny or someone else or been fed to the pigs (yes pigs do eat everything). Now we all can read, we have newspapers, radio, internet! So we spread the news quickly but don't count on it, it will also help to prevent these acts.

Social media is wonderful in the aspect that it gets more information out there. And because of it there are probably less acts because of the shame involved with the attackers and it all being brought to light, as with this 21 year old saying he was going to kill himself because the child's mother knew. 100 to 500 years ago was barbaric compared to what we're seeing today.

This is true things like this have been happening forever but we were not made aware of it unless we were directly involved. Now that we have communication via the internet we learn and hear so much that is happening around the world. It is sometimes to much to take in.

The best way to end this is do a DNA test and if he is the father excute him and there will be no more rapes from him and it will send a strong message to other potential rapist. Some will argue that this will not stop other rapist. It will in that that rapist will never rape again and we know that many rapists have raped multupul times so when they are caught and excuted it will end that series of rapes.

I seriously think we should castrate all rapist. You rape a girl you get castrated and they will never be able to rape again. I think having this law implemented would keep alot of men thinking twice of raping.

In this case the mom or aunt should not have had her malecousin checking up on her when the mom was out. It should have been the aunt.

Oh my god what the world is going to become? I am shocked to discover that an eleven year old girl has gotten pregnant seven months without her mother knowing it. What kind of a mother is that? If I were the mother I would have recognized the differences much earlier. I pity the little girl. She is just eleven years old and now she has to carry a child in her little womb and give birth! Such a pain even matured women are afraid to face, not to mention a little girl. And the nine year old girl from Mexico, that's another more horrid story!

Yes, I can't comprehend what is happening in this world. However, like someone else mentioned above this type of things have been happening for centuries. We just didn't hear about it because we didn't have the communication that we have now.

Unfortunately this has been going on forever and they still don't put in stricter laws. I don't understand why we can't castrate them all to prevent it from happening again.

A cousin? Really? This guy is going to have a lot of time to think about this with a life sentence. "IF" he lasts that long. Most child predators are taken care of once they are behind bars.

I don't think we know the complete story. He might have been allowed to sleep with this girl and later the mother calls it rape. He texts her, so he has to have been given her number. It's some sorry parenting. That's for sure. When I was still nursing, the youngest girl I ever helped deliver was 12. The mother denied she was pregnant when she brought her to the ER. It was apparent she was about to deliver but the mom was in denial. The little girl said she hadn't been exposed and the mother just denied the obvious.

I'm really in shock to how much this happens and I was not aware of it until earlier this year when the nine year old girl in mexico gave birth also. She was raped by this guy who then disappeared from the area.

This story is so sad especially as the litle girl could not talk to her mother about what had happened to her. Whatever happened to telling your kids that the area covered by a panty or brief is PRIVATE and no none is to look there or touch it UNLESS it is a doctor or nurse and only when Mommy is there? This baby was neglected and now look what is going to happen? I don't know how the alleged rapist got away with raping a baby in Mexico. Was her arrested?

The kid who raped this 11 year old I just found out was a cousin. He was left to check on her from time to time when the mom was not home. Well that is how the raping took place since last summer. As for the rapist in Mexico when they found out she was pregnant the guy skip town.

I think the mother is too busy to notice what is happening with her daughter... because even if the daughter didn't say anything, as far as i know a mother always feel and notice the real situation of her children by just seeing children's face..i do not know if what i have learned from others are all true but almost mothers said the they have the motherly instinct so they can easily detect what's wrong with their children. I think in this case the mother didn't have much time to bond and communicate with her daughter. Poor daughter.. she is too young to experienced this kind of struggle....

Yes, I agree. Part of the blame goes to the mom. She should not had let her alone. She should have been more attentive to her daughter. If she had she would have known what was going on. At the least that she was pregnant. Not to realize it when she is 7 months and only because the school called to tell her.

this is such a horrible story. I have my (not so good9 opinion about the mother as well, not just the offender, who's just a jerk (which lowlife rapes a 11-year old? sick.). If she cared about her daughter more, she would have known that something was going wrong...

Exactly, how did you not know something was wrong and something horrible was happening right under your roof. I just found out that the kid ended up being her cousin. He was suppose to check up on her when her mom went out. So he took advantage of her and started raping her since summer of last year.

That is so sick! It whether it is consensual or not, it's still considered statutory rape. She's only 11 for crying out loud! What sick man will take advantage over a young kid like that. As a mother, it is surprising how she cannot even notice whatever's happening right under her very own roof. She is also at fault here as much as the guy. I feel so bad for the little girl, she's too young for this.

Hi Lelin This is so sad, that poor little girl, I know for most of us having a baby can be scary, I cannot imagine for an eleven year old girl, she will need some good counseling after this. I have heard some girls do not show but this was just a child eleven years old it almost makes me want to cry for her. I hope her mother never leaves her alone again.

Well the mother will be raising the baby and there is no way she could leave an eleven year old with a baby. So she better not leave her alone again.
