I looked at my plate full of french fries and they looked pretty good nicely golden not really like I like them but I picked up one and it sort of dangled from my fingers. Limp and not even very warm arrgh! I ate them as I was hungry and had already eaten the cheeseburger. My taste buds almost revolted as they were limp not crispy.I mean hey come on if you are going to make french fries get them crispy as nobody even here in Gold Crest likes them to dangle limply. We want crunchy.Americans love their french fries crispy your take mylotters.

hi jazel juan thats o ne of the problems is that they make up so many plates that by the time they get to us the fries are getting cool and limp . It wpuld be better if they worked inn smaller batches

One fast food chain can keep up, often times a lot of people is in line and they could keep the fries fresh and crispy. I just don't order it for delivery as well they do get soggy after wards.

Well, I am an American and I don't care for them to be really crispy. I like just barely crispy and then soft inside. My taste buds LOVE potatoes and the oven baked kind my daughter makes are my favorite. Tender and cooked perfectly for these old taste buds.

I'm not really big on sour cream but I do love REAL butter on a baked potato and some chives. Yum! I was born in the state of Famous Potaoes--Idaho! And as proud of it as my Irish and Native American heritage. I would live two weeks with diabetis. I can't not eat chocolate, and all the goodies. I'm so bad!

celticeagle, my favorite are those oven baked too. I feel the fried ones get soggy because of the oil. I mean they're crispy at first and then they get soggy after a while, so you have to eat them fast. Oven baked ones are less crispy but don't get that soggy too. I love them with sour cream, and with sour cream and chives. And I like wedges too. Relieves hunger faster.

That to which you refer are called chips. French fried potatoes are slices of potato shallow fried often with garlic. Americans may love chips but I doubt, judging by McVomits, if they have ever had a good one. To make really good chips you need to deep fry in fat or oil so hot it almost explodes when the chips are lowered in. When the ebullience of the reaction has slowed, remove the chips and let the oil reheat. This should be repeated several times. Purists insist they should be cooked in goose fat. The result the perfect chips, crisp and crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy inside all the best, urban

I learned about frying food from my maternal grandmother. She said if the oil is not hot enough, the oil gets soaked into the food and it gets limp and greazy. You should also fire your dietrician.

suspenseful Yes thats it is it not but complaining to the management here is like talking to ones self for all the good it does.they always seem to wish wash things to get out of what we complain about.we have a dietitian who has about as much common sense as a bedbug.

I like big, fat steak fries, but, yeah, they should be crispy on the outside even if they are soft and potato-y good on the inside... And hot. They should be hot!

oh big fat steak fries and they could do those too if they just would,i think one of the problems is the number of people they serve as the plates by the time they get around to all of us the food is becoming less and less hot.

Well, this is becoming the issue even when you go to fast food places anymore, is getting some french fries that you can really enjoy and taste fresh. In a place like that, it is especially hard unless they do every plate seperately. Honestly, I enjoy mine most of the time freshly made but if you can get them fresh they aren't too bad other ways.

hi tina sometimes i will get them here and they are perfect but they do make them ahead so it just depends on where they start to deliver the plates. those who get them first usually get the perfect fries too.

You are a much better person than I am because if I was served french fries in the condition that your french fries were served to you in, I would have had to have left them on the plate because limp french fries are one of the things that I cannot eat under any circumstances. I feel like we are often disappointed when we are served institution food because those people that are doing the cooking don't really care and know that there will be very few people that will complain because at least they do have food to eat.

If you make homemade fries, LovingMyBabies, the best way to get them crispy is to cut the potatoes in the fries, then let them sit in a bowl of cold, salted water for about a half hour to an hour. Then dry off and fry. Guaranteed crispy!

I like french fries both ways, crunchy but I also like the limp ones to as long as they are hot and I have something to dip them in. Ketchup or whatever. But cold fries....bleh. They at least need to be warm or I would try and get them to warm them up.

sounds like they didnt cook them long enough and they were either home made or those cheapo type frozen from the store. ive gotten frozen ones that were cheap that ended up so greasey right from the bag and you cant cook them in the oven and get them done enough to sap out all that grease. so i bet that was it. i no longer like to buy the cheap ones for that reason. i cant handle deep fried things either and they probably are not supposed to deep fry because of delicate stomachs yet, they likely do buy the cheap fries. those wont bake up right and yes they lay on your stomach. yuk. i hate that dont have some kind of menu there for people that dont/cant eat certain things.
