When I went home to our hometown last Good Friday, my siblings were insisting that I go them to a nearby white beach for an outing, on Sunday. I know that it’s a nice time to bond with my sisters and their children, but then I asked if it could just be done Saturday. Unfortunately, my sister who is the coordinator and main cook of the foods they will be bringing, isn’t available on Saturday. Thus, I didn’t go because I have to go back home since I promised husband that we will attend the Easter mass together. Besides, it would be tiring since we will ride a motorboat then I will ride home to our house in the city. And I still have to prepare some things at home and the next day will be office day. So guys, did you go to the beach like most people do , on Easter Sunday or like me chose to just attend the mass and just be home relaxing?

Our new home is about 800 meters to the beach but we didn't find anytime to went there. My cousin told me we should be close on friday so we can go to the beach but I think it was not good for us due to hot weather. I prepare to open our shop and we stay here for the rest of the day.

I'm curious, what products do you sell. On the side of our front yard in my parents home is a snack inn run by my sister. They closed that day, and there were lots of supposed to be patrons who came, but sorry it's closed. Oh my, some people don't know how to abstain from food even on a Good Friday at least.

Thanks for this discussion, actually on festive occasion we hire a cab or auto visit all temples that comes on the way, we break coconuts, offer flowers and light incense sticks, after reaching home we distribute to relatives and neighbors.

Oh really? Just like here during the Lenten seasons some devotees also visits 7 churches as their way of paying homage to the event. We may differ in religion, but we do have some similarities in some traditions, professor.

It is where everybody heads in the Philippines during this day. I wish there is a beach near where I am no. there was a bit of a snowfall even this morning. Unbelievable. The first word I uttered when I woke up was "s_ _t"!!!

Yes, most people are on the beach during this days. Reunions are sometimes held at the beach. It's sunny that's why it's good to be on the beach. Well, when it's already sunny there, you can always go to a beach. But perhaps it's so far from your place.

Actually I attended mass in the morning with the family and by the afternoon, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at a local park for the kids, which they had lots of fun, but like you I did had to cut it short, because I also had to prepare for a day of work the next day and the kids had to go to school. But they enjoyed it and had lots of fun hunting for eggs and the jump houses/activities.

It will be a sure fun to have your baby have his first time swimming. Babies love to be dipped into the water. I can imagine how excited you are because you had a sabbatical when you gave birth.

It's important that we hear mass on Easter Sunday. It's a tradition of the Catholics.
