Maybe I'm old fashioned or maybe just afraid of change but I have lots of things that are really out dated. I still like to use photo albums for pictures even though now you put them on discs and the computer, I still have 2 TV's that you need to turn the dial to change the channel, they hooked up to cable so I can use the remote, I don't have a lap top or blackberry cell Are you way behind the times too

yep I am. I don't have any of the new gadgets. I have a lap top only because it was dirt cheap at a time that I was looking for a computer....prefer desk top. Still miss my turn table...don't own any music devices other than what I can play on the computer. Still have a landline and just a tracfone for emergencies. i have a small little tv that I paid 5.00 for 2nd hand and it is fine enough for me. I still have my reel to reel....just kiddin...I don't.

Hey sid, it is nice to know I am not the only one who still has a landline and uses tracfone. I have been tempted to eventually get a "smart phone" type of tracfone, just for some of the earning opportunities with it. I have a lap top because I take my computer with me various places and continue to earn from it. . . by the way I do a pay as you go data stick as well.

Yep...I try to keep my life as simple as possible...less stress. I would like some better music but i'm content with what I have. I would love a reciever, turn table etc but doubt I'll ever see that again.

I still love my photo albums but I need to put my photos on disc...they are really hard to organise though and I don't have any clues. Other than that, I have most of the latest "mod cons". I still like basic and simple to operate though. Technology is well on the way to leaving me behind now. I don't really mind as I don't feel as though i'm missing out on anything.

I hate to admit it but I wouldn't even know how to use any of the new gadgets, but then I never really tried. When I had to ask people to use their cell I didn't eeven know how to work it. Maybe some day I try but for now I have everything I need the old fashion way...

I always think I'm behind the times, but I have a laptop and a cellphone and no landline. I do use old fashioned photo albums, mainly because I'm too lazy to upload hundreds of photos to the computer. My TV is a push button model, but it's the old bulky kind that I can hardly pick up to move. What makes me old fashioned (I think, anyway) is that I use a wringer washer to wash, hang clothes outside, darn socks when they start to wear out, mend clothes, don't use paper towels or napkins, cook mostly from scratch... things like that. Most people think I am wasting my time, but I don't think so.

Oh, I don't think there's anything wrong with it, either, but some people do and that's okay.

Well it's not always about being old fashioned for most people. Now I don't mind pics in an album but I keep most of mine online. The kids have wrecked pics and disks so I don't bother with them that way. I have an old tv no with a dial though they are about say 10yrs old so it has a converter box. It still works so we haven't upgraded til this goes kaput and the kids are a bit older. THough I do really have an oldie in my basement that probably needs to get donated it was my Grandmothers tv and it is a push button of sort that I remember from when I was small. I finally got a smart phone this Christmas as my basic $20 pre pay phone I was blowing thru my minutes it didn't make sense anymore to not go on a plan but I dont use all my minutes.

Also we dont upgrade alot of things between the kids not respecting the cost of things when they don't take care of things plus we don't have the money usually either to "upgrade"

hi dear missybear I am also a bit behind the times. I have a laptop which I use now and then but I dont have an e reader as I hate these things and I still prefer paperback books. Plus I love writing snail mail. Got to get better with this, havent written in a while and disappointed friends who dont have a computer so hopefully soon back to pen and paper.

I haven't written a letter in forever but I still like to, it seems so much more personal than sending an e-mail

I just received a lovely photo book/brag book/ pocket calendar from my daughter yesterday in the mail. It is really nice to have something you can hold in your hand and look at. There are thirty six pictures in it, so it is a real treasure. She even wrote on the backs of the photos. Love it. Of course she printed the pictures and made the calendars on her computer. I say that is a great blend of both the old and new.

You can't go wrong with that, eventually I probably don't have a choice course technology is moving so fast and soon my old trinkets just not gonna work anymore

Actually, I'd like to take my digital pictures and print them out and put them in albums. That's way I feel more secure that they're safe...

I wouldn't say that I'm really that far behind the times but I would say that I do have an appreciation for classic looking things. I just really like the way that a lot of retro things look and I enjoy older looking appliances and furniture. I also like classic looking clothing as well. One thing that I like to collect of old fashioned things are older video game systems. I grew up in just about the right time of massive video game evolution so as I was getting older I was able to transition through nintendo all the way up to the current xbox 360. So far out of old gaming systems I have a playstation 2 and a nintendo 64. I wish I would have kept all of my old stuff growing up but it's okay because now equipment and games for all of the out of date systems are really cheap.

The only games I really know how to play are GALAXY and PAC MAN, I don't have an x bok or nintendo either and don't know how to play all those new games.

I still update my kids photo album and I like it that way. My mobile phone is almost 7 years old and still I am not thinking of switching to touch screen mobile phones. I don't follow the fashion trend and I don't care too much what is In and what is Out of the market.

i am not so old fashioned and i cannot consider myself as being liberated or so a modernized person. i still have belief in things like courting the person properly or personally and not just in text or emails. i need to know the man myself as we get along doing things together like that. there are stuffs i appreciated when i remembered those all. although, we need to live at the present times, but we need not to diminish things that give us total happiness because everyone does already changing in styles or such. life is ever in a changing world. along with this is the changing of everything in the surroundings; from foods, gadgets, but i must say and hoping that we must change for the better - like be good in our moral and not demoralizing the community because of the new trends or whatsoever.

You said it, I feel like "only course things change doesn't necessarily mean I have to change to", I like my VCR and my pre paid phone and I'm happy with what I got, it's not that I can't afford getting the newest gadgets it's just why do it when my old ones still working
