Who else here who didn't cook meal and just bought it across the street.
We recently moved and as I budget my money it seems buying cooked meal is wiser than I make it or cook it. Of course I still cook rice in the rice cooker.
Maybe in other place street cook food is pricey but in my place any kind of meal with meat costs Php 20.00 or 50 cents in dollar and vegetable meal costs only Php 10.00
How about you, do you cook your meal or buy it also to your reliable carinderia.

When we are in the apartment, we used to buy cooked foods in carinderia. It saves you time and gas or electricity. Sometimes it cost 15 pesos and that's enough for 1 to 2 person. I think it's okay to buy outside at least for one meal for the day then cook the rest.

Before I used to buy food in the nearest carinderia here because I am busy working and no time to cook but later on I decided to cook on my ow which is more healthy and delicious. It's true that you can save lots of money when you buy cook meals from the carinderia but your compromising you health by eating unhealty foods.

For us it is more economical to cook at home. It is also healthier since we control what goes into our meals that we cook. It also saves time as we do not have street vendors here.

I would never eat food cooked on the street. I am a picky eater and just to imagine that there`s no place where those people can wash their hands appropiatly, makes me shudder. I can make very cheap food at home.

I am expecting guests today and we are cooking everything at home. Home cooked food is a luxury these days. That is how I look at it. The taste is definitely far better than what we get in hotels. But for emergencies I do rely on hotel food. We have a home delivery system here.
