so stressful...it seems like those places are always busy...I went to the Social Security Office today to get a print out and thank God for what I was there for...they were at #124 and I was #129...So today was a great in and out day for me...but there were people who had been there for over an hour...I am happy I only needed the print out....and DMV...they always have you waiting... Have you every experienced this with either office?????

For many they put these trips off until the last minute and that makes it stressful. I live in a small town and the offices are never as busy as where you are.

Sadly I have dealt with both. I remember when Randy had an appointment with Social Security and still had to wait almost two hours (this was when he first signed up for social security). I had to go with him because they needed my income as well. The DMV always seems busy and even though they have a handicap line people give us a hard time because they do not believe that randy is handicap. We had one person yell out "why do you think you are special and can stand in the handicap line while the rest of us have been here a while"? Randy does not use a wheelchair, but he has a walking boot that he needs to wear to help keep his foot stable and he unable to work. He is handicap and deserves to be treated with respect.

hi bjc oh have I last year Yara our activity director took us to the dmv closest to us as I did not need the drivers part it took me almost an hour and as I was using a walker I was not used to standing but eventually I went to all the right windows and as I had my old Id it simplified things so I got through fairly fast all things considered.

Being that you were there for probably just an ID I still think that an hour was a long time for your to be there for that...I am sure that beause you had a walker that should have been able to see that...But I just don't think they really care...its like they took a training class in how to make people wait and wait and wait...delay, delay..delay...I am glad you felt like an hour was a considered fairly fast....i just think thats a long time....

I have been to both when I had to wait. I like the method they have now. Before you just waited in line and it was a mess. And timing is everything.

I have never been there as I’m from different country. But waiting is so annoying. Especially if you have to wait for one till two hours. I have experience with the bank service. If you wait for their customer service, it’ll take one hour or so for waiting. It’s pretty suck in my opinion.

I used to experience this kind of waiting while in the postal office. I would normally get the number where I would need to wait for more 50 people ahead of me . Fortunately it is inside the hypermarket building where I could spend some time in the hypermart and come back for my turn . If I have no time to wait, I would have to discard the ticket and go straight home and come another day .

I usually go right as they open, so no lines ups. But then the population around here is so low, that at most I've stood waiting 10 minutes.
