Where Do Writers Get Their Idea?

Philippines

I had been dreaming to be a writers, I just don't know why I want it, but because I envy those who write so well. When I was young I hated writing, I also hated reading literary pieces, but now people are into it. I just realized that writing is for people who do have an open-mind. I do love reading, but I'm having a hard time when it comes to writing. I don't have an idea, an inspiration, motivation. I'm not confident with my writing skills. How about you guys, where did you get your idea when you are going to write? What's your inspiration when you write?

It's not that hard when it comes to writing. Writing for me is a way of expressing yourself. :) What's my inspiration when I write? For me my inspiration is what my current life situation and sometimes my dreams. I really get inspired when I talk about my dreams because it's like it's motivating me to reach them :)

Oh, me too. It's hard to think of a word that will surely fit with what you really want to say. But you don't need to think of hard and deep words, as long as you can express what you need to say. Just keep it simple. Happy writing to you! :)

Hello there! It's not too late to start to learn and write articles or any literary pieces. There are a lot of online writing sites where you can submit articles and get paid. That's a good place to start :) As to where to get the inspiration to write, you can find it everywhere. Just watch TV, browse the Internet, check on the latest news and trends, observe the things and people around you, share your personal experiences where people can learn from it, the list is endless :) Practice your writing skills now and you'll be surprised on how much you've improved on after a few weeks :)

If you are very eager don't loss your hope you can do it, writers get their ideas on daily life, or on particular things, or some times based on our emotions. I usually can write a poem when i'm in love or i feel depressed, my contents of my poems is based on my emotion.

Hi queen! I am one of the trying hard writer out here, he he. I am not a professional writer and most of my articles are about personal experiences. I get ideas from everyday happenings, going back and forth to the office, family affairs, childhood experiences and yes everything that is happening around that I think could be of help to others if I share those. I also about my online experience because I believe that if ever newcomers will be able to read those articles, they will find those helpful and inspiring. Have a great day!

If you love reading then it means that you have already all the input that you need. All you have to do is to put all those ideas into writing. It is impossible that there are no ideas to write about, may be you are just too hesitant to make a start. Those who ran out of ideas are those who seem to get lazy reading. You better start writing from simple and specific ideas...

I usually write about the stories that I have read, people telling and also my own experiences. To be able to write stories, you have to read a lot and also have writing experience. It took me quite sometime before I can start to write somethings. I hoe my the time my writing skill will get better day by day.

keep the dream of becoming a writer. it never stops to become a writer. everytime you read a good novel or a piece of writing, i hope that you find sufficient inspiration and motivation to pursue your dream of becoming a writer someday. for me, reading provides me some ideas and inspiration to write. i know that someday, i will have a book that will be exhibited in bookshops.

When I write I get inspiration from in different ways. I often base my writing on my own experiences for instance experiences that I have when I travel. I love to visit new places both in my own country and abroad and those trips often inspire me, that is one of the reasons why I always keep a notebook and some pens in my bag. If I get a new idea I want to write it down straight away so that I don't forget it. I also tend to find inspiration when I visit the coffeeshops in my local area. Somehow the background noise and the conversation of other people helps me find new inspiration. Sometimes I write in my own home as well, but I often prefer a public place.

My inspiration would be my interest. I am interested in anime so much that I want to make a story out of one of my favorite animes. Another thing that makes me want to write is getting to read a good story or anything that makes me imagine more. I write simply because I enjoy doing it and sharing what's going on inside my head.

For me, most of the time inspiration just comes - and it can happen anywhere (in a coffe shop, standing in line in market, sitting in a library or when I am just taking a walk), and because of that I always caryy with me some piece of paper, so I could at least write down ideas I have had. Then later on when I get the time I just work with things I have written down before. I do not know why, but music is the one thing that in some kind a way sets up tone for the piece I am writing - sometimes fragments I write are very bright, easy to understand and cheerful, sometimes they are a bit more difficult and not so light. And as you mentioned it - for writing actually the most important things is to clear your thoughts, open your mind and senses to everything that is arround you and in no time you will have something to write about. Just keep trying.

I am happy that you love writing. As to your first question, It pays to read a lot and understand from life's experiences. I am a copywriter and one time I had to write an article on aikido. Good thing I read comics on aikido which helped me. I suggest you keep a diary where you can practice writing. As to your 2nd, my ambition is my inspiration. I want to be one of the best that I can. Keep writing even if your grammar may not be good at first. Don't stop. Read good books and magazines too.
