My daughter is a dear person(if I do say so myself) and she does most of the things that need doing around here because I can't. She has become a good cook. For those that don't know she is bi-polar, has a slight learning disability and she has asked me to live here with her and help her to raise her son. So, anyway, when she cooks she makes a horrid mess and just leaves it sometimes until the next day. I, on the other hand, learned in Home Ec. to clean up as I go. I start some hot soapy water and start putting all the dirtied utensils in that and by the time I am done they have soaked and all I usually need to do is rinse them. I taught my daughter to do the very same thing. But she doesn't. Ugh! I get so aggravated. Are things that irritate you about those you love?

we must be close in age cause i learned the same way and prefer to always do the dishes or clean up at family get togethers..i taught my children the same, but some got a dishwasher or expect their children to help..obviously the grands didn't pick up our habit..
Your daughter seems like it doesn't bother her to wait especially if you are around to do the cleaning!..learning disability or not!
