He wants to send it with us

I have a two wheel dolly or hand truck that came from my sister. Hubby had to replace the tires, but it is handy. My dad is 84, lives in a different state and was in the moving business when I was a small child. His dad had a moving business before him. He still has his moving dolly that was his dad's. He wants us to come down and get it. I have to admit, it is a more magnificent specimen than what we have now. I would love to have it, and will certainly get it. Thinking about that piece of equipment actually makes me tear up. Funny, right? As kids we gave each other rides on this thing. I remember dad painting it. One year it was orange, another blue. I wonder what color it is now? I surely am getting nostalgic and sentimental. He says he wishes he could come help us move as he could show us a trick or two. I am sure he could, but he does not stand or walk very well anymore. I am getting old.

Yes, there is something about something old that has memories attached to it. And yes, I'm getting old too... never thought that I would see the day!!

I prefer older items more than new ones and i can only imagine how cool looking that Dolly is..I think a relative had one when i was a youngster so it might look like what i am thinking it looks like. Memories of being young..love them and things i did but can't now..yes i am getting older too.
