~My Love For A State I Have Never Been To~

Yes it is true, I absolutely love a state I have never been to. How you ask? I'm not sure but I have always felt a very strong connection to Tennessee. I always wanted to live there. I have never even visited that state but it seems so peaceful and beautiful for the most part. I wish my husband could find a good paying job there-and a home for our family. I would move there in a heartbeat-even not knowing anyone there. I am ready for a change from NC. Have you ever felt a connection to a place you have never been to?

NC is a wonderful state I loved it when I visited it a few years back. Tennessee is also very beautiful too. Hang on let me see the whole of the USA is beautiful too I am always taken aback by the diverse beauty.

@LovingMyBabies Did you ever try finding a place out in Harnett county? I live in Lillington and the prices are much cheaper than they are in Cumberland Co./Fayetteville. I must admit that I love Harnett county and it would probably take quite a bit for me to move now.

@garymarsh6 I agree NC is beautiful and Tennessee is just gorgeous in some areas. I did find that Tennessee is a rather expensive place to live though.

@garymarsh6 I guess it depends where you go in NC. I lived in Fayetteville, just military base there-not much to do and I am glad I moved now. I needed a different change of scenery for a bit. I would love to move to TN one day, to look at the natural beauty every day would be amazing. =)

I'm thinking Kentucky, with its "blue hills" but I did pass through there once.. through the mountains.. so beautiful and I am of all things, definitely a 'hillbilly' at heart, which to me is complimentary, hillbilly being to my mind a good thing.. (I was surprised to find some think of hillbilly as an insult!). I also feel a strong link to New York City, though believe me, I am no city gal! But I did live there for a year, when I was all of six years old. I don't know why I feel the affinity..

@flowerchilde I don't want to go anywhere too far from where I am comfortable. Lol I know I'm weird but I have always been on the East Coast so I would be nervous to go to the West Coast. I was born and raised in NY, it was okay when I lived there but I would never go back now. I am used to the country now. =)

I felt a connection like that for Florida when I was in my 30's. I even went down there for a job interview. The problem was everything was so expensive there. I could not find a place that I could rent for me and the boys. I had to give up on that dream. So I have stuck with NC since then.

@Shellyann36 That is where I live now is FL. It is very expensive here in certain parts. In Jacksonville where we are it's not much different than NC.

@LovingMyBabies Oh gosh I missed the post about you moving. How long have you been there? I was over by Ft. Walton Beach when I was looking for a place to stay. Over by Eglin AFB. I had a job at the Ft. Walton Beach hospital on the psych ward but I just could not find a place to stay.

Interesting question. I'd like to see more of France as only been through it - seeing Paris in the distance, as my ancestry is from there. I would like to see the US state of Maine having read so much Stephen King.

No I spend the first 15 years of my life in foreign countries so I do not even have a hometown. But I want to live in Oregon and we are moving there next year.

I hope this desire can come true for you. My first hubby and I chose Kansas, rather than Oklahoma, but we both had been there, and his grandmother lived in Kansas. I went to college in Kansas, and here I still am.

I think I feel a connection to the small community my father came from in Canada and for some reason, Cornwall. When I see photos of Cornwall, it looks very much like a place I could be happy. Some of my ancestors came from there and the coast is like the coast here where I live.

@Rollo1 I have always wanted to live in a small town, in the mountains with beautiful scenery to look at every day. I think it would bring me closer to God with all of the natural beauty in TN.

I do, but mine is another country. Ireland.. I just feel peace overwhelm me looking at the photos of Ireland. My Great grandfather and his siblings and Parents came here (USA) from Ireland back in the very early 1900's he was just a boy having been born in the last part of the 1800's and he lived until he was 94.. longer than my grandparents actually. So I got to visit with him. - I don't know if that is why I feel such a connection to a place I have never had the pleasure to visit yet. But I think Ireland is just magical! Ps. I love KY and Wyoming too.. but never been there either.

@minx267 Oh my goodness I have seen pictures of Ireland and it looks amazing! I am mostly Irish and have always wanted to visit there but I would be too afraid to move out of this country-visiting would be nice though. =) I hope you and I both get our wish someday!

My step sister said the very same thing about Tennessee when she was a teen. Well, she did go visit there with her dad once. But,she and her husband moved there and been living there for years now.
