Pumpkin's rant of the day: Crowds, ice-cream, aches, and food

I was trying to think of something about which to rant but I have actually had a good day. We have been to the beach, Sea life Centre, and a couple of other things. One thing which I find difficult though is called crowds. There was quite a queue to get into the Sea life Centre. It went down fairly quickly though. It wasn't as crowded as the one I've been to before. We went to listen to a dude talk about sharks and that's when I started to get a bit stressed. There was not a lot of space and people kept trying to get through. Then there was a child whingeing that he couldn't see anything so that nobody could hear anything the shark dude was saying. When we came out, we went for a little wander and had some lunch. It was a lovely little cafe and nice food. Now usually, I eat healthily and sensibly but, because I am on holiday, I decided that I don't need to stick to that. My body disagreed. I automatically choose the healthier options and even when there are things I like and decide to have them, I don't fancy them. There were cream teas, cakes, homemade chilli, and hot chocolates. I like these things but I just fancied a jacket potato with cheese and salad! I did have pizza and cider last night though. Nowadays I actually find that I am in pain after eating junk. I did, however, treat myself to an ice-cream as I had promised myself that I would! The ice-cream was nice but I didn't like the cone. There was a choice of cone but the man just picked up the basic one before I had chance to choose another type. There wasn't an option of ice-cream in a tub or anything either. I think there should be. I surely can't be the only person who doesn't like the cones. Also, if I must have a cone, I would prefer an old fashioned small one whereas they're mostly those waffle cone things now which are too big. We 'll, the ice-cream was nice though. I had a scoop of white chocolate and Malteser, and a scoop of bubblegum flavour. They were each delicious on their own but together, they were so yummy. On the way back, Mini spotted a model village and asked if we could go in but we had been out a while, and D was getting tired and achy. He always asks me to give him back rubs, which is fine, I am happy to do and I understand he needs it because of pain. But, while he will sometimes do the same for me, I sometimes feel that he forgets he's not the only one in pain. My back is really aching. I've done about the same amount of walking as he has, and I've also been driving. I think he also forgets that driving can be tiring too. We had originally intended to walk to the beach but he didn't think he could make it. Of course, I don't mind driving. In fact, I like driving but I also like walking, and I like to choose when to drive rather than it have to be dependant on another person. Now we're back at the caravan. I'm a bit bored. We don't seem to have done a lot in the past couple of days because we haven't started out until after midday. I prefer to get ready and go as soon as I'm up. It gives us more time, we can do stuff before lunch, have lunch, and do stuff after lunch. That makes for a long day and D can't manage that due to his health. I do my best to understand, accommodate, and make allowances but it still gets frustrating at times although I know he can't help it. Now, oh yes, I was saying that I'm bored. There is stuff to do on the site but we went to the arcade yesterday and I don't want to spend too much time in there. There's a club/pub type thing but that's all talent shows and bingo. Then there's a swimming pool but, with the trouble Mini has been having with his bowels, I don't think that's a good idea as much as I know he would love to go swimming. Apart from that, it's all food and drink and a little shop. Well there is a small outdoor play area for kids, and a games room but I'd still be bored if I took Mini to the play area, and I don't think either Mini or D would play any of the games in the game room. So, yes, there is a bit to.do.but I just don't want to do any of it. D and Mini are both on computers. I've borrowed Mini's Kindle to type this while he plays a game on my computer. I don't know what D is doing. I don't like it when everyone is on computers. We've brought games with us, and D bought a new game yesterday yet they both seem to prefer their computers. I won't make a fuss because we're on holiday but it would be nice if it wasn't always up to me to move everyone away from computer stuff. Ok, that's all my ranting for now. My back still aches and I'm tired. D has gone for a nap. Not really sure what to.do.with myself. Ttfn
