I Suck My Fingers!

It's a habit I just can't break, nor do I want to.
Yes, I was taught to use utensils, but I would say a good 85% of the foods I enjoy eating I use my hands to eat. Mexican food such as tacos, nachos, burritos. Then they is pizza, fried foods (chicken, shrimp, etc.), corn on the cob, seafood (shrimp, crab, crawfish), and of course the deserts. The list can go on and on, but I think you get the picture.
So of course after enjoying these foods, I just can't bring myself to let the deliciousness of it go to waste by using a napkin to wipe my hands. Hence I suck my fingers and savor the last bit of it.
Do you suck your fingers? I betcha you do..

Girl.. didn't your momma teach you any manners? 
We eat with our fingers most of the time.. But I guess I never suck on them.. Ok maybe cake batter dripping off them.. or some krispy Kreme doughnuts.. dripping off the juices.. or maybe

Nope, that she didn't. What she taught me was never to let food go to waste, and that if I was going to enjoy something, enjoy it to the fullest. I learned well.. Pats myself on the back, I am so proud of myself. I betcha it is more of the latter??

Yep, I sure do. I eat pizza with my fingers, and the regular finger foods, like chips and such. I lick my fingers especially while eating the foods with salt on them, since the sald gets on my fingers. I do have napikins, but I forget to haveone close by, as that would be more proper to use instead of licking my fingers.

@rosekiss Oh yes, I have to suck every piece of salt there is off my fingers. I never really worried about being proper, especially when I am eating in my own house. I will simply enjoy every bit of it.

I use cutlery specially because we have pets around and we keep touching them. It also helps if I forget to wash my hands.

@TexanTornado Ofcourse not. Nor do I use cutlery while eating crabs Those are exceptions. But you do not suck your fingers while eating popcorn do you?

you really shouldn't pull this on people who're still scuffling about trying to wake up, its so unfair. but its too late to apologize, I'm hungry as all get out and I want PIZZA ..... I'm not much of a cook so I'll have to wait til they open THATS IN 2 HOURS!!!! ...... watts in the fridge 
....... ewww, my fingers didn't taste good

Oppsss My bad In my defense, I thought of this last night when I was eating the fried chicken and french fries I cooked, and sitting there sucking my fingers afterwards. You only suppose to suck your fingers after eating, not try to eat your fingers.

Oh the Joys of texas foods..we can be the messiest people in the world since we use our hands more than anything..But we love it..cause like you said..we get to lick our fingers after..yummmmm

No, I don't think I ever sucked my thumb. Well, unless I had some goodies on it. Nail biting is a habit I never got into. So I am good there.

I wouldn't say I suck my fingers, but after eating corn on the cob I might give them a big lick or two....only at home, not out in public.
