I Was Busy!

Yesterday and today, I worked from 10:30 am until 4 pm. Yesterday, I was busy with cutting fabric for customers and answering questions about where certain items are. Then the last hour and 40 minutes, I zone the jello, pudding, cake mix, spices, flour, and cooking oil aisle. There have been times that I have spent 3 1/2 hours doing that. Then today was even busier. I did a bit of straightening up in the crafts area of the department I work in. Then, I had to put a few other department's merchandise out. When I got back to the fabric table, it got really busy again with customers wanting fabric cut. I think I cut more fabric today than I did yesterday. I had quite a few people asking me where items were located, too. After things slowed down some, I put pricing stickers on about 25 bolts of fabric and put them up. Then I had to find some shelf space for a couple of new wedding items. I had to get that done in less than 15 minutes. Whew!! I wonder what it will be like the next 2 days!?!?

I believe this is a hard work to do, you must be tired after a day cutting fabric.

I like to cut fabric for the customers. I get to ask them what they are going to do with the fabric. One lady was going to add the fabric to her "stash". Some will make pillows or curtains. A few were teachers who were going to decorate the bulletin board in their classrooms. Other fabric will be used for: weddings, headliners in vehicles, quilts, all kinds of stuff!! What makes me tired is being on my feet!!

Whenever there is freight that is ready for us to put it away, that is what we have to do. We don't have to be told to do that. We just have to go ahead and get started on our own.

There are so few places to buy fabric around here. If I worked in a fabric store, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from buying all the pretty patterns.

I started working in the fabrics and crafts department back in early June and I have not bought any fabric. But I had bought plenty of yarn!

I wish I had my own dressmaker shop in order to have a nice wedding to sew for! I love to sew. I work in the fabrics and crafts department at Walmart here in town.

@Mavic123456 There's plenty of pressure in the job. The main thing I don't like is when I have to go to a different department to do work there when there is plenty of work to do in my own department. Then it is a scramble to get stuff done in my department.
