To The Point It Is Not Safe To Go Outside Anymore

A reporter and her cameraman were just shot and killed on live TV doing a news report in Moneta, VA. The gunman is at large still. People already have the debate going about gun laws here in the US over the incident. The same old arguments. My only question is how could anyone have prevented this? The news people had no idea this was coming and even if they had a gun, by the time they would have went to grab it. They would have already been killed. I do not know how you solve the gun problem and all the violence here in the US, but what ever we are doing is not working. In fact, we seem to be enhancing our gun and violence problem here in the US. I do not want to live in a country where it is not safe to go outside anymore. That is not the free country America claims to be. When is enough enough?

It was on the news yesterday and I horrified and saddened at the same time. Like you said, you can't predict something like that happening.

It seems we just have to live in this world of paranoia.

It really isn't You can't even go to a movie house anymore. Imagine living through going to the movies. Too weird for this girl. And, you know with this media thing they are just going to be snooping into our lives that much more now trying to foresee these things before they happen.

I think I am sticking to HBO and Netflix with the occasional Blu-ray at this point. Popcorn is to damn expensive anyway. Plus, I can drink at home. lol Hopefully people will come to their senses and see we have a real problem here.

@crossbones27 -- I'll stick with Netflix. I turned in my HBO and traded it for a DVR.

I was online when it first happened this morning and and saw the video that they have since taken down..but it sure was sad because of the way it happened..nothing could be done..no where to go and no one was safe..not even the lady who was being interviewed..she is still in the hospital.. People will start being paranoid if they weren't already and soon everyone won't trust anybody who even walks near them..sad to say

It is sad and it is a pretty high price to pay since no one really wants to address the issue. Can't really blame them because you get beat down with attacks no matter what your stance is of how to fix the issue.
