Living In A Haunted House

Was inspired to write about my haunted house experiences after reading @Porcospino 's post. You can read here post by clicking the link below. Anyway, this particular house that we lived in was an old house. It was all wood and the door had latches instead of knobs. The windows are old capiz-made windows. It was actually one of the few houses that I loved. If not for the haunted experiences I've had, I would have chosen to stay here longer. There were apparitions, a lot of them. Usually, it is a white lady that showed herself to visitors. The white lady usually showed herself going up and down the stairs or by the doorway. There was also an apparition of an elderly couple. There are far too many weird and creepy things that happened to me or was experienced by others staying in the house or by visitors but let me cite the really scary ones: * One time when a visitor was at the house unannounced, she rang the doorbell by the gate and was surprised to hear children playing in the courtyard. She knows that there are no children in the house. A child actually opened the gate for her and asked here who she was. She is a friend of my mom and after she introduced the child said that she will call my mom. My mom's friend swears she saw a lot of children playing. After a few minutes, my mom's friend grew impatient and rung the doorbell again. This time our help opened the gate and ushered the visitor in. My mom's friend mentioned the children playing in the courtyard and was surprised to find out that it was only my mom and our help who was at home at that time. My mom's friend never set foot in our house again after that incident. * A few college buddies of mine were staying for the night and when two of them went to the kitchen to get some food, they saw an elderly couple sitting down at our dining table having coffee. My friends greeted them and both looked at their direction and nodded. When my friends saw me they asked about the elderly couple and thought of them as my grand parents. Again, it was only us, my friends and me at home during that time. I actually thought that these buddies of mine were joking but they were dead serious. * I normally had nightmares. Really scary nightmares that involved a white lady crying and asking for help. The worst nightmare I had was that the white lady was hovering over me as I sleep and was actually trying to choke me telling me that I wasn't helpful at all. I initially thought this as a case of sleep paralysis but it happened a lot of times that I actually admitted to myself that I was being haunted. That is when the nightmares stopped. * I was in my room about to sleep when the light turned on and the closet doors opened. I wasn't scared at all but it got creepy when the lights turned on and off in succession. I composed myself and then just got out of bed, closed the closet doors, turned off the light and went back to bed. I swear to myself when I closed the closet doors i saw the same white lady in my nightmares staring back at me. There are a lot more scary experiences but I'll stop here.
