Did you see mars?

I went camping Thursday night, and was out sitting on the lake. I didn't think it was true, as usually I see advertising of it all over facebook.
It was cloudy, and so I look up as it suddenly got very bright. Sure, enough it was the moon with mars beside it. Mind you my camera isnt that good so the picture was rather blurry, and well not that good.
But I took a picture anyways, and something I can say I have seen later.

No, you did not take that picture. I'm an amateur astronomer, I know what Mars looks like when it is at it's closest point (and it isn't anywhere near it's closest point right now), and it looks nothing like this. Do you have any idea what it's orbit would have to be in order for it to swing in close enough to look that big? It would have to come in almost as close as the moon. If you ever genuinely see Mars looking that big, kiss your @$$ goodbye because something knocked it out of orbit and it's heading straight for Earth.

I have seen Mars once and that was it. The picture you took looks nice.
