How long should we wait between discussions?

I could easily blitz my pages with fresh discussions, but is it wise to pause between posting new ones? Many readers probably only notice the most recent postings so we could well end up competing with ourselves by posting too much, too fast. I try to use time between postings to check out everyone else's stuff.

Since most of our earnings (for those who are interested in that, of course) are dependent on the responses we get in discussions and how we interact with those responses, it makes sense to leave some time between posting discussions and to only post as many as we feel we can comfortably 'maintain'. It is possible, of course, to pre-write discussion topics and then to post them all at once, one after the other. In the 'Recent' discussions view, that will result in them all being in a block and could mean that the people you would like to respond only select one or two or miss them altogether.

Well, I think that everyone should approximate for themselves how much time they need to wait until posting the next thing.

Oh absolutely. It is a matter of individual preference through and through

I think it depends on how prepared you are to deal with responses. It's possible that you won't get many, but having too many discussions at once can mean less time to keep them going, which is rude as well as inefficient. I'm just dipping my toe back in MyLot after being away for years, so I'm not sure how the new earning mechanism works, but my old rule used to be to make some time to respond to other people as well. Remember, other members are trying to make money (and have their ideas heard) as well, and if everyone is pushing out multiple topics, there's no one to respond!

You are so right @lecanis - writers here could spread themselves to thin and not do enough for one another. That would have a domino effect on everyone.

I find out that posting one or two a day keeps me busy most of the day..i am on here practically all day but do leave to eat, sleep, watch tv, clean house, garden..get the idea?..we can have a life but don't overload yourself!

I believe that it is always better to wait a little between discussion. This is something I have noticed in most sites. If you post everything together, people only read the most recent one.

I am also off the opinion that we should wait for discussions until our post disappear but franckly speaking I observe very low traffic here on my litters in day time we Asians bearing this loss of time difference.

Time differences may well be a big factor yes

Well I just post whenever I feel like it. The other day I posted the most discussions consecutively but of course I think it was an hour or so after the other...

I barely post at all. Most of my time here is spent responding to other discussions. That seems to be sufficient for me. I write longer posts elsewhere. I comment more here than there.

There is no set rule, as it depends on how much you can do, and if you can keep up with all of them as well as others. I don't do that many myself. Most days, I don't start any, and other times I may start two or so. It just depends on how I feel, and if I have someting to discuss. I will only do though, what I feel I can handle at any one time, as it can be overwhelming that is for sure.

Like most of them say, it depends on us. In my case, I don't have enough time to pause after each topic and wait for comments and interact with them. I have limited time for I work full time and I work at night. During weekdays, I'm asleep most of the time. I usually check responses before I sleep.

At least put an hour in between posts.
