Do you live and work in the same town?

Where I live its very rural so there is no way unless I move into town and that would never happen. But my friend only works in places in the town she lives in. Even if I lived in town I probably wouldn't live in town. I was talking with a coworker who sees her neighbours, and people come in interupt her at work. Whereas I rarely if ever see someone I know (which is nice). I was just job searching and was looking in towns surrounding the area, and the town I currently work in. I rarely if ever go shopping in this town, or even drive around the town. I just do this with any town I work in. Years ago I use to work at the local coffee shop, or years later at the local pet food store to this day I still have people stopping me.

I live in the burbs but work about fifeteen minutes away in what is technically another small community. I've had one job in my life that was essentially in my neighborhood. I used to work at a dollar general about five minutes down the road from me. I prefer not to be stopped and talked to while working as it's distratcing etc.

I've also done both and if I had to go back I'd pick my in town job once again.

I've experienced both - working in the same town and out of town. I guess there are pros and cons to both. When I was working in a different town it took me an hour to go and another hour to come back so it was pretty exhausting. But if it's somewhere nearby things would probably be different.
